The House of My Mother

This isn’t a usual genre for me to read in, but when I seen the ads for this book, I knew I had to. I remember when the news had broke out about this family and it was crazy as an outsider just how much can be hidden from view on social media. This book is written by the oldest daughter of the 8passengers family and accounts not only the incidents of her mother, but of her life in general. Some of the details in this book are tragic and almost unbelievable. As you read through the details of Shari’s life so far, you can tell how fast she had to have grown up in the effects of her childhood into her young adult life. However, you can tell that there’s been a lot of healing not only for her, but her family as well. I would definitely recommend this book however, if accessible, I would recommend listening to the audiobook as it is read by Shari Franke herself. An outstanding 5 out of 5 stars.
Lights Out

Lights Out was one rollercoaster of a book. While I was reading it I couldn’t even begin to tell you what was going to happen next. However, I think it captures your attention and keeps the reader entertained throughout the book.
Now we all have seen those men on TikTok (RIP) that post thirst traps wearing the scream mask. That’s essentially what this book is about. Except he tracks a girl down and places cameras in her house and well…you can probably guess a lot from there.
Probably not though cause it’s wild from start to finish. Also you will have to read it to understand my mafia joke!
I gave it 4/5 stars! Hope you guys enjoy!

I know, I know, nobody likes her books. I do however, I think they are great short books that are fast to get through! I honestly really enjoyed this one because of how fast the pacing was. I got through it in one sitting. This book follows the female protagonist Auburn on reclaiming her life with confidence with the help of a very misunderstood Owen.

This book was PHENOMENAL I seriously loved all the characters the puns and the whole storyline itself. I’ve read 10 books so far this year and this one is by far my favorite! It’s a single dad romance and the relationship they build is to die for. I highly recommend this. I gave it 5 stars!
Bound & Barbed

It’s an adventurous, vampire like, smutty read with a badass female main character. I gave it 4 stars and I can’t wait to read the rest of the series! This book comes out November 22nd!

The Ravenhood Duet

This duet is phenomenal, I put off reading this series because it didn’t seem like something I would like. I was very wrong… the characters are so vividly laid out and the storyline is immaculate. I very much love these books and will be buying them in hard copies. I gave both books 5 stars, I will for sure be reading these again!
The Vicious Lost Boys Series

What an….interesting way to retell Peter Pan and his lost boys. I don’t remember the original one being so dark and smutty 😉 I found these books to be interesting and they were definitely fast reads. Was it my favorite book I read this year. Not necessarily, but I definitely enjoyed it! I gave them both 3 ⭐️ out of five!
Midnight Fae Academy

Now don’t judge the book by the cover, because this series has blown me away. I’m only on the second book and I’m hooked! I love the characters and storyline and yes there is smut in it. Honestly though if there wasn’t any it would be just as good. I gave it 5/5 stars and would totally recommend to anyone who really liked zodiac academy. They give off the same vibes.
Forget Me Not Bombshell

Now before I get started any books written by these ladies are an instant read for me. I really like anything that they write. However this book…disappointed me, but not in a really bad way? I loved the characters they were funny and enjoyable to read about, but this book is so long. Like I don’t mind long books, but there was so much extra reading material that I feel like could’ve been left out. It dragged for me in some parts. Besides that the overall storyline was enjoyable. This is a dark mafia, reverse harem and it is still a decent book. Just be prepared for the long haul. I gave it 3/5 stars!
Ugly Love

so I started Colleen Hoover books with Verity and I’ve read two other of her books since then and so far nothing has competed with Verity I really just love that book, but none of the books have been bad this one is very kind of sad in a way but still very well done I really did enjoy the story but in comparison to Verity which I loved it wasn’t quite there for me but other than that I really enjoyed the characters and I love the storyline definitely would recommend checking it out! 4/5 stars!
Haunting Adeline

Let’s talk about this book because there’s a lot to unpack. It’s dark and sexy and always has you looking over your shoulder as you read. You ever feel like your being watched? Well our main character Addie gets that feeling a lot in her grandmothers old house, but what happens when there might actually be someone out there?
This book was really well done and has you glued to the pages immediately. I gave it 5/5 stars. I totally recommend if you like a little dark spice!
