✨Book Review✨ Rating - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 This was again a buddy read with @the.reading.potato I am glad she told me of this book and i decided to pick this one up. This book is so warm, charming, witty, humorous and at the same time deals with serious representation like discovering one’s sexual orientation, OCD, Stress and anxiety disorders. In my opinion, it is difficult to deal with such heavy topics in the book while maintaining the contemporary romance charm and Alison Cochrun did a very fine job at it. All the characters were loveable tbh. I loved all the side characters. Dev and Charlie were obviously the charm here but Dev’s crew was such a colourful bunch, not to mention each of them had to deal with their own demons which came out in the form of micro narratives while chastising Charlie or Dev on multiple occasions. It was so good to see things put into perspectives. NGL, there are quite a few things to take away from this book, most of all is prioritising your own mental health and people around you not being mad at you for that. The whole Dev and Charlie practice date was fun to read about. Not to mention there were a few funny scenes about the set and shooting too. I loved how Charlie opened up to Dev and vice versa. There blooming into each other (which reminds me of Bloom into you anime that i need to watch 😋) was a thing to see. I loved the queer and mental health representation in this book so much. Definitely a recommendation irrespective of the Pride month celebration!! Happy Sunday !
