Nick + referring to Jess We had a little “will they/won’t they.” Then we did, and then we fought a little bit too much. We still have a really nice thing.

Ok here me out I feel like Cammie and Bex knew each other before the Gallagher academy. It’s definitely mentioned Abby knew Bex’s parents and went on missions with them.
I can’t explain but it just makes so much sense that they knew each other before being roommates.
I just feel like Bex’s parents have a soft spot for Cammie and not in a way of hey your my kids roommate and best friend but it’s something deeper like a childhood friend.
And even Rachel letting Cammie stay with them when Cammie was being hunted by the circle (yes I know they’re highly trained MI5 spies) but this trust seems deeper than that. I mean think about it your daughter is being hunted by a literal ancient evil organisation do you really leave her in the hands of her roommate/ best friends parents you only met a handful of times? Yes I know Rachel could have known (most likely was friends with) Bex’s parents pre the girls starting Gallagher but still would you trust someone your kid has only met a few times when she literally can’t trust anybody.
Also I think Bex is very comfortable around Rachel and not in a your my headmistress sort of way. Bex is really confident around the adults but I think especially around her headmistress she would be on her best behaviour but with Rachel she’s completely herself.
Feel free to say your opinions I’m really interested in this.
Also note I know it says in the bonus chapters they met on the first day of school but in my pov I like to think they may have been friends maybe even met two or three times when they were little prior to Gallagher. Like maybe they only met two or three times had a small conversation.
what she says: im fine
what she means: i cant belive that the gallagher girls series doesnt get the recognition it deserves. its a series about independent teenage girls who go to a spy school and they're all able to kick your ass in 100 different ways. still there's no putting each other down but pulling each other up. the girls support each other in every possible way and have the best friendship in literature. also why is no one talking about the amazing representation of woc in these books? why is no one at all talking about this series??
Ok, remember when Macey is like to Zach in OGSY we’re leaving her with you so you better not make us regret that about Cammie before going to the tombs.
Well what if after the graduation Macey pulled Zach aside and is like hey we are leaving Cammie with you so you better not make us regret that.
I just reread the Gallagher girls books again and can’t stop thinking about how joe says that cammie will always be in danger and I can’t help but think this doesn’t just apply to the circle after her.
Also I wish there was more books.

my heart goes out to lebanon. please take the time to inform yourself on what is currently happening. to my followers who are lebanese, i am so sorry. i am not lebanese, i’m only trying to offer information that has been written by lebanese people. if you are lebanese please add more information. add direct and legit links to donations and petitions so we can help you out with what we can. i know petitions don’t really work for us in the middle east and in north africa so donations are preferred to help out lebanon! and for those of you who do not know what is currently happening i’m linking some information below and linking ways you can help. please help lebanon if you can. trigger warning: there may occur videos of explosions in the twitter threads! please add links, and please keep yourselves informed of what is happening and please, be safe. listen to lebanese people about what is happening in lebanon and amplify their voices! you can find a lot of information directly from lebanese people on twitter.

“I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand.” – Confucius
the curve of forgetting
the curve of forgetting describes how we retain or get of information we absorb.
day 1: you go into a lecture knowing 0% and come out knowing 100% of what you know (regardless of whether you know it extremely well or not)
day 2: you did not do any reviewing of your notes from day 1 therefore you have lost 50%-80%
and as the days progress we forget less and less
think about midterms! notice how around midterms when you’re trying to study for something (that you haven’t been reviewing for regularly) it feels like the material is VERY difficult and almost as if you’ve never learned it before
formula to reshape the curve
within 24 hours of your lecture spend 10 minutes reviewing the material
a week later: it will only take 5 minutes to REACTIVATE the same material
ultimately, you will reshape the curve
day 30: by this day your brain will only need 2-4 minutes to recall
information on the curve of forgetting was taken from the university of waterloo (x)
my formula to reshape the curve using the information above
before class: spend 10 minutes PREVIEWING the material.
after class: spend 10 minutes REVIEWING the material
do this regularly. this will be your preview/review system for each class.
a week later: try to review a week later. i know that school/life can get pretty hectic, but try to make sure you are reviewing regularly.
maybe record yourself saying some important details/concepts from your notes the night before and on your daily commute to school plug in those earphones and listen to it. i am an auditory learner and i find that listening to my notes before i go to bed and right when i wake up have truly helped me retain information. studies have shown that the best time to study is right before going to bed and right when you wake up.
a month later: after a month, review what you’ve learned so far in your class. trust me this will be a very very short review. everything will look very familiar to you and it won’t look as difficult as it used to.
basically your review schedule should be the following:
1 hour before learning the material
1 hour after learning the material (or within 24 hours of learning it b/c i know we’re all very busy people)
1 day later
1 week later
1 month later
remember everyone learns, studies, and retains information differently!! my personal belief is that your technique is what matters most. it is not about your innate ability/talent. find a technique that works for you.
more suggestions:
active learning > passive learning
when taking notes use the Cornell method. it forces you to ask questions and summarize what you’ve learned.
set frequent, short, review sessions
test yourself constantly! there are so many resources online.
people who are under stress have difficulty remembering things so CHILL OUT
don’t rush, take your time
repetition is key
practice MAKES PERFECT
group items together
fish, vitamin b12, and green tea can help w/ memory
don’t give up. like morrissey said “these things take time.”

PLEASE REBLOG! THIS IS AN UPDATED LIST!
DON’T IGNORE US!
*You don’t need to donate to change.org, donate directly to the families. Also if there’s a problem with a petition (or you have a petition I should add), please pm me instead of reblogging so I can fix it faster.*
This is so incredibly I never knew this
We didn’t hear none of this all lives matter shit when kids were dying in mass shootings
Quick Reminder...
The COVID-19 virus has not changed
Your immune system has not changed
There is no vaccine
There is no cure
What’s Different?
Fewer government-directed restrictions
That’s literally it: fewer lockdowns, closures, and stay-at-home orders, often due to political pressure.
But COVID-19 is still here. It’s still contagious. People are still getting it. People are still dying from it. Just because it’s not as prominent in the news does not mean that this 2020 story arc has concluded!
Please
Wash your hands
Continue social distancing
Wear a face mask
Protect high-risk and vulnerable people
Self-isolate if sick, quarantine if exposed
Help flatten the curve and contain the outbreaks
Source: I am an actual contact tracer and I just got home from a very long shift where we are having to reach out to more and more and more people as they are exposed to people with positive COVID-19 tests.
Please stay safe.
Covid is not over and black lives still matter. Stop trying to “go back to normal” when shit is still happening.
Stop going on trips and going to restaurants without masks.
Keep educating yourself and protesting and calling and donating and signing petitions.
Wear a mask. End white supremacy. Defund police.
I know it’s tiring but it’s not over for either thing even though people are pretending it is. I know the overlap is exhausting. But be safe, social distance, and keep fighting the good fight.
stop acting like BLM is over and that its now fine to ignore petitions that still need to be signed + voices that still need to be heard. black lives will always matter and i'm lined up to go to multiple protests within the next week so i implore everyone to continue supporting black people however you can and to not let this die
