the absence of light can play tricks on one’s eyes and even through her enhanced vision , the assassin can’t tell if the figure yards ahead of her is the REAL one or the one who’s eluded her time and time again ( they’re the same person, though she’s loath to admit it ) . ‘ sombra . ’ she starts as she always does with these nightmares , calling out to the younger woman, a handgun she’s relieved a secret agent of steadily pointed at the other’s head. ‘ … why are you here ?? ’

what is your character's job?
she doesn’t have one. she sits around all day screwing around with computers and other peoples bank accounts.

has any magic affected your character?
uh. she still has all her enhancements, but a lot of it doesn’t work the way it should. aka she’s really heckin’ sad holovids aren’t a thing for her because damn she misses being able to pull a screen out of nowhere.

i’m going to try and NOT turn this into a novel, but it may end up that way. (it kinda ended up that way. my bad)
so!
born olivia colomar, she grew up in a mexican city named dorado sometime around the late 2040s, the same time the omnic war was happening in and around mexico.
her parents were killed when she was a small child when her village was destroyed by the omnics.
grew up in an orphanage with other children whose families suffered the same fate as her own.
technology being a huge thing, a lot of the orphans were taught how to hack. olivia found out she was really good at it and continued to further her skills as she grew older.
she was taken in by the local gang Los Muertos as a child and once she was fresh out of the orphanage at 18 she officially joined the gang, donning their signature glow in the dark skeleton tattoos. this was a good sense of security as she began using her hacking skills to search for information on the whole fiasco that was the omnic crisis.
fast forward a few years to her early-mid 20′s when she was finally getting somewhere with information. began extorting big companies such as LumeriCo to know more about what happened to her family. eventually this lead to her getting too deep and being caught by another unknown hacker. she wasn’t risking her own life for this so she basically dropped off the face of the earth, killed off olivia and resurfaced a year later as the now infamous hacker known as sombra.
sombra included a bunch of cybernetic enhancements and pretty much turned her into a walking computer (literally her gun has a wifi signal. bitch knows what she’s doing)
so, sombra ended up making a big name for herself around the world, having so many people on her tail but never being able to quite catch her no matter how hard they tried.
this got the attention of a terrorist organisation known as talon. the enemy to overwatch. this gave her a whole other level of power and protection so she took up their offer to become an agent but she’s still looking out for number one, occasionally screwing over the agency to swing missions into her own favor.
now she’s??? just a brat that works for them who enjoys nothing more than pissing off her co-workers while she’s trying to turn all the big companies around the world into her own personal puppets.
whilst she’s here though, she’s stuck with nothing more than a laptop she got for cheap at a pawn shop and she’s hoping to make do with that in hopes it’ll help her get back on her feet money wise.
she’ll take up jobs if you need her, but she won’t fix your computer because that’s no fun
