Removed the June sketch so it doesn't get flagged and also bc I realized the prior sketch lines underneath were perhaps badly placed. Fixed it ...
Tried inking using only the Fibre pen in sketchbook. I like how it has a kind of fuzzy look. It's very forgiving. Reminds me of the shitty pen tool on old oekaki boards.

Do you realize how hard it is to speak with acrylic paint. It doesn't blend like oil, isn't smooth like digital... it likes to be in blocks, be planned. It wants to be laid down with confidence and heavy strokes. If you don't know what you are trying to say it will strangle you.

i currently work full time as a preschool teacher and can't keep up with art. i really wish i could keep it going but i can barely manage updates.
additionally ive started working on a novel and thats also keeping me very busy. i want to transition out of teaching in the future and i write at near stephen king speeds when i have the time so im prioritizing that over drawing as of late since im pretty sure at least one of my scripts is marketable enough to let me claw my way out of this physically destructive profession.
