The world cares about no one. I realize that. - But, also, I believe in the general good of humanity, as naive as that may sound. I expect the people to respect all of you like veteran soldiers, because that’s what we are. We fought for them. Surely, there will be those that recognize that. I think that’s a miscalculation on your part; because there are people apart from the rebels that care about us. If you’re only referring to Coin and her lack of sympathies, that isn’t exactly fair, because surely you knew she didn’t really give a damn about you lot from the beginning. You expected that to change? Ooh, tough break.
You have plenty of life left, besides.
The world doesn't care about you. All they care about is what you stand for. Honestly, do you expect them to take us in with open arms? Do you expect them to thank us, care about us?
We are only Coin's damaged little toys now. They don't want us, our grief, our damage. They want a shiny new leader, a sparkling new country, a promise for war to end, the bloodshed to stop. They don't want a reminder of what it took to get them there, they only want the prize.
