“This image, “Golden Clouds with 4 folds”, was created by rephotographing a print which I shot of clouds over and over again at different angles. I then changed the color and reprinted that image and reshot it, until it looked like a real scene again.  The horizon line takes you to a place you’ve been before and grounds it in reality, although it is a completely fabricated scene.  The final 20 x 30” print, is then folded, and displayed.  By folding the photograph, it becomes an object itself, not just a frame containing a subject, and it feels as though its something sentimental which has been stored for safe keeping, and brought out for display.”
