What to Watch: NFL Week 7
Chiefs at Broncos: Thursday, 10.17 8:20 pm ET.
The Chiefs are 4-2 atop the AFC West, but they’ve lost their last two games. The Broncos are 2-4, in the basement, but they’ve won their last two. And this one is being held a mile high.
What to watch for: Can Patrick Mahomes carry the Chiefs against one of the league’s best passing defenses? Denver is a very solid defense, allowing only 196 yards per game in the air. Only San Francisco, New England and Buffalo allow fewer. We know that the Chiefs running game has gone quiet, but this would be a really good week for it to awaken if they want to keep the lead in the division. If the Chiefs drop their third straight game on the road in the division, it’s going to be gut check time in K.C.

Making Waves – NFL Week 6
Younger players are often secret weapons for teams on offense and defense. Unlikely to draw attention from opposing coordinators, these guys make a big difference for their teams before they become full-blown stars at the NFL level.
Offense: Kyler Murray, QB, Cardinals
OK. So, Murray is far from an unknown, as he was the presumed number one pick as soon as anyone started looking at the draft with any seriousness. I wasn’t so hot on Murray, so I’m here to give credit where credit is due. I still don’t think that the Cardinals will win many games in his rookie campaign, but Murray shredded the Falcons on Sunday afternoon. He didn’t look much like a rookie, going 27-37 for 340 yards with 3 TDs in Arizona’s second straight win. Look for a very interesting QB battle this weekend with the second QB picked in the draft, New York’s Daniel Jones.

The New York Liberty Are Becoming Roommates With The Brooklyn Nets
Beginning in 2020, the New York Liberty will play its WNBA games at the Barclay’s Center, home of the Brooklyn Nets.
After Joe Tsai purchased half of the Nets from Mikhail Prokhorov in October 2017, he bought the Liberty in January 2019. In September 2019, Tsai bought the other half of the Nets and became the majority owner of the team. In a separate deal, Tsai purchased the Barclay’s Center.
In total, Tsai owns the Brooklyn Nets, the New York Liberty, and the Barclay’s Center. Having the two NY basketball teams that Tsai owns play under the same roof makes a lot of practical sense. Barclays is about to turn into a basketball cathedral.
The New York Liberty previously played at Westchester County Center, in White Plains, NY. The stadium sits 5,000 people. Barclays sit 19,000. If you live in the New York City area, are you going to travel to Westchester to sit in an (I’m sorry) crappy stadium? Going to downtown Brooklyn to sit at an over three times the size stadium is much more appealing. According to the Liberty’s press release, “the move to Barclays Center will expand the capacity to more than 8,000, with opportunity for growth.”

Facebook debuts new notifications to fight vaccine misinformation
Facebook is now rolling out a notification system aimed at combating anti-vaccine misinformation.
Whenever a user searches for vaccine-related information, Facebook will pop-up links to the CDC (Center for Disease Control), where accurate vaccination information can be found about the flu shot, MMR (Mumps, Measles, Rubella), Gardasil (HPV) and others.
It has been said that “Not all opinions are created equal.” Opinions based on facts, matter. Not fear, not innuendo, not manipulative mischaracterizations but facts.
