Your First Plant
Its finally time for babies first plant, a joyous occasion to be remembered. But what should your first plant be? Well I'm here to help, here is a quick list of simple plants for first time plant owners.
Aloe-Vera: Everyone has heard of the cooling jell of aloe for burns, but they also make a lovely and hardy house plant. Put this little friend in a sunny window and forget is there
Spider-Plant: Don't worry about the name this is a popular house plant that you've probably already seen. This plant can survive cooler weather than most and stores extra water in its roots. Also as an added bonus this plant grows lovely little white flowers
Snake-Plant: Again its just a name don't freak out, the snake plant is a tough bugger and is drought resistant and can survive in just about any soil. Also, the snake plant is also an absolute air purifying machine!
Air-Plant: If dirt grosses you out then the air plant is perfect match. These little guys require no soil at all, and only need watered every other week.
African-Violet: So you want some flowers huh? Then look no further than the African violet. The flowers can range from the palest pink to the deep royal purple. Just remember to water from the bottom as these pretty plants can't stand wet leaves.
