I wasn’t planning on participating but happy TDOV! I’ve been medically transitioning off and on for almost two years now and I’ve just been having a really hard time existing in the world. As black trans woman I feel like I’m always visible but the one thing I really appreciate about trans day of visibility is that its one of the very times I have control on how I am visible. Instead of people projecting their preconceived notions of my transness and my blackness on me its one of the very few times I feel like I have control how people interact with my transness. That kind of agency is something we lack as black trans women so again International Transgender Day of Visibility yall!!! Support all my trans sisters yall this shit is hard!
