A massive jet flew around the border sleeping city, heading towards the far off mountains. Even to and unobservant eye, the jet could be seen. Easily over 100 feet in length, the dull green bomber zipped past the city with easy, though to the surprise of onlookers, a Russian bomber was no common sight. It wasn’t long till the jet was little more than a speck on the horizon to the city, and less time still till the bomber was entirely gone.
They bomber flew till it was over the mountains, and over a certain life signal. Once the jet was close, it dove for the signal. The signal’s owner, an old medic by the name of Prion, was quick to dive into a defensive position, and raiser her blasters to where to jet was to land. Once the jet did land, she was not met with blasters or gunfire, but with Prion wrapping her arms around her.
The massive 62 foot tall cybertronian grinned down at Prion and ran a servo over the other’s helm. Prion stared up at her, love in her visor.
“I missed you so much, Blackjack”
{{ botsofafeather }} Prion handed the young bot a bouquet of flowers. Mostly pink carnations and larkspur, though there was a pansy or two in the mix. As well as a single, stray white lily.
Hideaway smiled,they had researched the meaning of Earth plants. They couldn’t help but laugh.
Pink carnations for protectiveness larkspur for familial love. They grinned they had always seen Prion as a guardian if not closer almost as if she where their carrier. The pansy was for loving thoughts…but one caught them off guard.
A single white lily.
Regret.
They tiled their head.
“Prion if this is about when we first met,I’m not bitter about it. What do you have to regret?”
Prion vented slightly. There was more to regret than Hideaway knew, more than she would care for Hideaway to know.
“There have been a lot of regrettable instances between us,” Prion shrugged, her face plate hiding her deep frown. “But that is easily over shadowed by the good, isn’t it?”
She knew despite their being only a trace of regret, it still stood out brighter than the rest, did it not?
“Well I certainty don’t know of many times where I felt regret around you! Prion you’re one of the few I’m comfortable with!” They laugh. “But! T-thanks a lot for the flowers I means a lot!!”
“Of course Hideaway,” Prion said, her visor dimming ever so slightly, almost sadly. “Strange how much value these have, even though their lifespan is short,”

Positive they were far enough now. It had been five days now, and it came time to recharge out of their holoform. Being a mech again felt great, the preened their aching wings groaning softly. They hated lying to Devin truly they did. But they had to remain a secret…. The following day Hidi was already dosnstairs making breakfast.
Devin woke up after a few short hours of uneasy sleep, a string of drool connected his face to the desk he\d passed out on. He quickly wiped it away, a little embarrassed for having drooled all over himself in his sleep.
He got ready at a slow pace, lazily throwing on whatever clothes were within reach and didn’t reek, along with his beanie and his sunglasses to hide his bloodshot eyes. On his way out, he opened Buzzard’s cage and the bird flew out to his shoulder, as with every morning.
His feet partially dragged along the ground, begin to tired to spend the energy lifting them entirely. Seeing Hidi in the kitchen cooking away made him pause for a second, he figured they’d still be sleeping.
“Heeyyy, Hidi!” He greeted the other, the bird on his shoulder already rattling off curse words and song lyrics.

Hidi sighed,they were quick to slip out their window and head off into the woods, Devin was,,,getting onto them. They were sure the stoner couldnt ACTUALLY figure it out…could he?
Devin once again sat at his desk, add to the files he’d collected on his roommate. Most of the pictures here were from straight up stalking them, God spare his soul, he felt dirty for it. Kinda. Well, he was stalking them, and even if Hidi wasn’t of this world, it still made him feel kinda gross.
Despite the energy drink, he still felt so tired, this was what, day three of nonstop work? No sleep and next to no time for anything else. He was so tired. He barely noticed his eyes slipping shut for longer and longer, let alone his head hitting the desk as he dozed off into an uneasy sleep.

"Thank you,now I’m going to rech-bed.” They huff turning they were quick to sprint upstairs leaving the stoner asshole by himself
Devin made a mental note of Hidi’s odd behaviour. And what in God’s name were they about to say? If anything, this just further proved his roommate was anything but human.
He chugged hid drink, tossed the can on to the counter and hurried back to his room to add to his files on Hidi, if that even was their name.

Devin opened the drink and took a sip. Why couldn’t Hidi call his bird by it’s name? ‘Bird’ it wasn’t just a ‘bird,’ it’s name was Buzzard. Rude.
“Sorry, Hidi, been up studying, and besides, my exams are in the afternoon! I have time!” Devin gave the other a wide grin. “So what ya been up to while I was studying, since ya clearly haven’t been sleeping?”
“I’ve been TRYING to sleep,which hasn’t worked well forme…can..can you please tell Buzzard to be quiet?"They groaned glancing and the screeching bird. "Please? My exam is at 9am”
Devin sighed softly. Way to be a buzz kil. Damn aliens.
“Chill, Hidi, ain’t the end of the world,” Devin shrugged, as if keeping his roommate awake till 3 in the morning was no big deal. “But we’ll keep out study sesh quiet,”

Hidi groaned rolling their eyes they leaned against the door frame.
“It’s hard to sleep with you and your bird up so late. I may ask the same thing,don’t you have finals tomorrow?”They asked giving a stern look. “Well at least I do anyways and I would enjoy sleeping”

Hidi was in their room typing away on their laptop,saving files on their roomate Devin. They were sure he was just some stoner he met,but they couldn’t be sure. He had always made jokes that Hidi wasn’t a human. Well…. They sigh and hope out of bed heading downstairs they notice the poor stoned guy stumbling around the kitchen like a spider that got spritzed with water. Sighing they shake their head. “You still up Devin?”
Devin whipped around, nearly dropping his joint. Hidi always snuck up on them. If they weren’t an alien, he was damn sure they were a ninja. Or maybe something like those cat assholes from that one game. Would that also make Hidi an alien? He was too sleep deprived, and stoned to work it out.
“Hey, Hidi! What’s up, man?” Devin asked, opening the fridge. He took a drag from his joint and pulled a Red Bull from the fridge. “Whatcha doing up so late?”

From behind a mountain of empty Monster and Red Bull cans sat Devin. Devin was up late, yet again, tired eyes scanning over his laptop screen at his gathered ‘evidence.’ Pictures, security footage, the works. The evidence was of his roomate, Hidi. He’d always thought something was off about them. Something he’d say was not of our world.
So far he could find nothing, but her knew deep in his soul Hidi was not of this world. And he’d do damn near anything to find out what. God above spare his soul. As the clock struck 3am, Devin sighed and shut his laptop. He reached over to one of the drawers on his messy desk and produced and joint. As he lit it, he got to his feet and half stumbled to the kitchen, seeking another energy drink to aid in his investigation.
He felt just like an CIA agent, a stoned CIA agent, but CIA all the same.

Flashmine stared right into Nitros optics for a good five minutes. “What do you want in return of me helping you?"She asked. This bot,was battle worn she could tell by the way he acted. She’d seen it before,but he didn’t wear a badge so she didn’t care.
“I’d be thankful for any spare engeron, spare being the keyword!” Nitro kept up his tired grin. “But that is after I help! Again, I just want to help, that’s all I want anymore!”
That was only the half truth, he wanted energon first and foremost, but saying that wouldn’t do him any favors.
“So! What can I do to help?”

She rolled her optics rubbing her servo on her face. “Non affiliated indigenous form"She explained annoyance dripping in her words. "You know the ones who didn’t want a fragging war? The ones who were SLAUGHTERED,the ones whose lives were ruined,the ones who lost their home OVER A WAR THEY WEREN’T A PART OF?” She sighed shaking her head. “Sorry,I just…ughhh nevermind. Well since you aren’t one of them…I suppose I have no reason to kill you. I wont hurt neutrals. Now why are you really here?”
Nitro shrugged. Nail was such a weird thing to say, neutral would be better. In fact, ‘indigenous lifeform’ didn’t entirely fit him. He wasn’t from Cybertron, hell, he’d never even seen it.
“Like I said, I saw your ship go down and came to off help, that’s really all there is to it. I just wanna help,” Nitro once again offered a smile.

Flashmine examined him carefully. He didn’t bare a badge. Was he a nail as well? She gritted her teeth lowering a blaster. “You a nail?"She asked ready to fire at any moment. "Cuz I don’t need nothin’ from no Autobots or Cons I can get a long by myself without your war pigs drivin’ up my aft tah pick a side!”
Nitro’s expression quickly become one of confusion. Nail? Now that was something he’d never heard.
“Nail? Not sure what you mean by that, but I assure you that I am not a Decepticon or an Autobot!” Nitro once again smiled, though this one was less confident and much more nervous.

Speak of the devil. Flashmine stood behind Nitro a blaster pointed at his back. She chuckled softly. “Whatcha doin?” She stopped fear over took her,she shook her head. No,no she couldn’t show fear not now! She glared at the bot. “Who the frag are you,why are you on my ship?”
Nitro slowly turned to face the ship’s captain, both servos raised above his helm. Time to see if talking was a viable option. His expression softened as he locked optics with the other.
His entire being seemed to radiate with that friendless he managed to keep despite all the shit he’d been through.
“Now, I was nearby when I saw yer ship come crashing down,” Nitro said slowly, offering a kind smile. “Came to make sure everyone on board was okay. Are you in need of assistance?”
