She’s no saint, but she’s no monster either…

Could someone please explain to me why in a good portion of Jegulus's POVs or fanfics, Lily is described as the worst human being to ever walk the earth?

You know, I totally understand people who don't like her and end up giving her a more assertive personality. I don't like her either, and sometimes that's reflected in the POVs I write, but I've never written a POV where Lily drugs James or tries to kill someone.

I lost a bet to a friend and had to read a terribly written fanfic, And to make matters even worse, it was the ship that I hate and despise the most: Jegulus. It was from Lily's point of view, and she was simply a huge bitch in every sense of the word.

I don't like Lily that much, actually I'm wary of her, but I never turned her into a tyrannical bitch, on the contrary, I humanized her more than even her most fanatical fans, I gave her feelings and characteristics beyond joy, sweetness and kindness, because in my view she's none of those things, but transforming a character into a great monster to sanctify another is a real dirty trick, especially when that character doesn't even have 8 complete lines of dialogue.

In short, it was just a venting of frustration.

Similar, but not the same...

I was wandering through Twitter when I came across the following post: “Luna and Remus have such a cool paradox; let’s agree that Luna is literally a new-generation version of Remus—they both have similar backstories and paths.”

Okay, tell me where Remus and Luna have similar stories and trajectories?

Let’s look at the facts: Luna is a girl considered weird; everyone isolates and ignores her. She is bullied by people both inside and outside her home—people steal her belongings, insult and criticize her, and she was even given a nasty nickname: "Loony". Do you know who went through the same thing, only twice as bad? Severus Snape. It was Severus who was bullied, isolated, and ignored; Severus who was criticized and insulted; it was he whose belongings were stolen and destroyed, and he who was given the nickname "Snivellus." Remus, on the other hand, just watched it all happen without doing a thing—he stood by like the coward he was. He had friends; he wasn't isolated or ignored; his belongings weren't stolen or destroyed; he wasn't insulted or bullied.

So no, Luna is not like Remus—quite the opposite; they have nothing in common. To sum it all up, Remus was someone who had friends and companions; he was accepted and heard, and was never judged or oppressed.

Anyway, that was just me venting…

He is not the main victim!

I realized something revolting regarding the werewolf "joke" that Sirius played on Severus.

The Marauders' out-of-touch fans portray Remus as the main victim who was hurt and wronged by his "boyfriend." I'm not saying Remus wasn't a victim—because he was—but he wasn't the main one, he wasn't the one wronged or most harmed; that was Severus!

The Marauders' alienated fans have the irritating habit of turning abusers into innocent victims and transforming the victim into an abuser and persecutor who deserved all the humiliations and aggressions caused by the Marauders.

So please stop portraying the Marauders as innocent victims, when the real victim you hate and despise has been replaced by a background character whose personality has been stolen!

But that was just a rant!
