    SHE STANDS BEHIND BOW,        poised  for  takeoff  with  a  pair  of  scissors  in  her  hand    (  oh,   if her mother could see her now.  ).       there  is  palpable  excitement  in  every  move  she  makes,   preparing  the  space  before  her  vanity  for  the  task  ahead.       SHE  WANTS  TO  MAKE  BOW  HAPPY.      that’s  all  glimmer  has  ever  wanted,    which  is  one  of  the  many  reasons  she  jumped  at  the  opportunity  when  it  was  given  to  her,   even  if  it  was  done  so  with  some  anxiety  attached.      when  bow  expresses  his  concern,   the  princess  stops,   fluffing  her  own  hair    (  choppy,  messy,  obviously  self  cut.  )    in  the  mirror.       it’s  less  about  the  cut,   obviously,   and  more  about  the  meaning  behind  it.       her  free  hand  comes  to  rest  on  bow’s  shoulder,   giving  it  an  affirmative  squeeze. 

    “ —  HEY,  LISTEN  TO  ME !       what  you   DESERVE,   bow,   is  to  be  happy.    to  feel  comfortable,   and  safe,   and  loved,   and  all  that  stuff  !     and  if  you  think  you’re  a  guy  who  needs  an  awesome,   short  haircut  courtesy  of    yours  truly,    then  that’s  what  you’re  gonna  get. ”       she  beams  at  their  reflections;    so   YOUNG,    yet  so  ready  to  take  on  the  world.      there  isn’t  anyone  else  glimmer  would  rather  do  so  with.       “ so  just  say  the  word  and  i’ll  get  to  work,   kay  ?  ”     she  perches  upon  his  shoulder,   laughing  in  his  ear.      “  you   TRUST  ME,   don’t  you  ?       it’s  gonna  look  great. ”
