The male propped up his bike and humbly apologized to both the dog and its owner for nearly crashing into them just because he was a tad— okay, really sleepy.

He seemed happy to see her, success! "Good to see you ‘Kuo!" She grinned.

"How’s your year been? Sorry I haven’t been the best at keeping in touch… Y’know how it is with all the clubs and activities. Plus my family planned a vacation and I didn’t have access to my phone or anything. Then when I finally got back my phone it broke. And I’m probably rambling about a lot of things you don’t care about ahahaha…" Rin laughed trialing off at the end. She really needed to learn to not ramble. Hopefully she didn’t bore him to death already. Thankfully Mikuo was always quite nice. ”I shouldn’t even be rambling. It’s not like he’s a stranger. Guess I’m just nervous since it’s been a bit since we last talked.’ The girl figured.

First day back at school. Ah how she missed it. School could be stressful of course, but Rin could normally balance it out enough. It wasn't exactly easy, homework, clubs, class, and friends? Some days it felt like there was hardly time to breathe. But she did it. Neatly and orderly. Only way to go in her mind. A new year was always exciting. She missed her friends, and wouldn't mind making new ones either. Rin already had a few people in mind who'd she approach. Most people were way to shy to come up to her themselves. Many even were overwhelmed by the girl. Understandable considering her loud personality with a voice to match. Something as simple as that wouldn't stop her from at least trying to befriend them though. Finally happy with her hair the blonde smiled. The darned pins could take forever to get right, but always looked good in the end. At least in Rin's opinion of course. Enough time on hair and makeup, she was going to be late! Thank heavens for uniforms, or else she'd be screwed. Rushing out her home, Rin was headed to school. Highschool seemed a little less scary second year around. Like she could get a better handle on it all. She thought about all the things she could and would do today while walking. Wording and attitude would be key to a successful school year. Boy was she excited. Finally getting into her classroom, Rin had just enough time to scan and greet classmates. She smiled widely seeing familiar faces. One person in particular stood out though to her. Could it be? Of course, he was here last year duh. Teal hair, nice face, familiar kind voice, only one person it could be. "Mikuo?!" She approached the boy quietly and beaming. She hoped they'd still be together! He was an old friend, and old crush. It was weird to look back on feelings like that. Even a bit embarrassing to admit to herself. Rin still considered him a friend though, she never minded that relationship. Friendship was something Rin valued highly. So while romance is great and all, it's not top of the list. Besides those feelings never got past the lips of best friends, or shouldn't have. Even when Rin tried to hint at her crush, he never seemed to get it. What else was there to do but move on? This greeting wouldn't be awkward for them at least. Not in a "oh we broke up now what" awkward way anyway.

Judgmental stare hardens, bored stare piercing through the smaller blonde. She was nervous, he knew, because who wasn’t nervous when speaking to someone as great as him, so he could understand her babbling. He didn’t necessarily like it, but he could deal with it for a minute and entertain her with his presence.

"Hm, I see." He starts, blinking slowly. "Then I guess it’s nice to meet you, Rin-chan. I obviously don’t have to introduce myself, seeing as you’re aware of who I am. I’m flattered that you’d want to meet me. I’m fairly impressive, but even so, working it into your busy schedule seems like a burden."

Rin tried to not wavier at his piercing stare. She should probably think a bit more before thinking. He seemed a bit busy himself. Yohioloid also seemed a bit full of himself though... Not that she didn't expect that, her friend gave her a small warning. This confidence wasn't misplaced though. He certainly was aware of his talent. "It's no burden at all. I'm free today anyway, and just saw you while I was passing by." She assured keeping a light tone. "But if you yourself are busy, I wouldn't want to impose. I understand a need for no stops sometimes." The girl laughed a bit. "Do you live near by?" 'My speech is too stiff now isn't it? Ugh why is it so hard to talk to people?!' She thought annoyed. If she tried to fix it now though she'd end up rambling more.

It was such a nice day out, perfect for going to town. Rin quickly got dressed, navy blue skirt, white tank, long light grey jacket, and black shoes. Subtle enough for town, but cute enough for her tastes. Grabbing something to drink and window shopping was the starter plan for today. The small girl walked out of the small coffee shop with frappe in hand. She’d drink a bit of it and people watch before setting off. Someone caught her eye though. Pink hair, tall, unusual outfit… Could he be a-? Maybe. They set down their hat, normal enough for a day like this. But a few minutes later he got up without it? Ah that would suck to lose… I mean it seemed simple enough to get another but- Bah, why not. Walking down the sidewalk Rin grabbed the hat and rushed to catch up to the owner. "Excuse me! Excuse me!!" She called trying to get his attention. Her loud voice came in handy for this situations. "Y-You left something!"

All he wanted to do was get a coffee while out on the town so he could stay awake. He had not gotten enough sleep the night before, and the bags under his eyes were evident of that, but he would hate to waste time just sleeping the day away and ruin his schedule once again. His lack of sleep had more consequence than he would have thought though: there was an even stronger lack of awareness, and he ended up not realizing he had left his precious beanie. Thank heavens that that girl would be so nice… Girl?

Upon looking back and letting his eyes follow the voice, he realized that the girl calling out to him was Rin Kagamine, a VOCALOID renown. Consider him shocked. He sluggishly trudged over to her to meet her halfway and see what he was stupid enough to leave behind this time.

”What?”

"Y-You forgot your hat!" The girl smiled slightly out of breath. She held out the beanie for him to take. Looking over the annoyingly tall man Rin seemed to vaguely remember him. VY2? Seemed about right. The girl made it her duty to at least kind of know all the Vocaloids and what they look like. He seemed to be a quieter type, she never heard much about him from friends. But he was certainly someone she wouldn’t mind talking with. The quiet types were harder to befriend, but Rin never minded that. "It looked like you where going to leave it. I know I wouldn’t wanna loose anything like this so I figured I’d try to return it. And thankfully I’m successful!" She giggled softly.

How perfect to run into him! She’d heard a lot about Yohioloid before from others, but had yet to meet him. Seeing him in person was weird. He was so tall! He dressed so nicely too… 'You shouldn't be intimidated, you're Rin Kagamine for crying out loud.' Rin thought nervously. New people always felt just a bit scary. No matter her natural confidence in herself, always the same feelings came. Legs feel numb, body tightens up, mind races. But I mean, this guy had a certain kind of air to him. A cool and confident guy air. That didn’t help with her nerves. 'Shake it off you can do this!' Letting out a small sigh Rin shook her head a little. Time to snap out of what ifs and focus on the now. Nothing happens by just sitting there. Striding up behind the tall man Rin tapped his shoulder lightly. "Hello!" She chimed in a bright tone. She stepped backed right away, and awaited a reaction with a smile.

Not surprising he’d be stopped on his way back to his room. He’s usually stopped and gushed over, because he’s so absolutely wonderful that it astonished people, but nonetheless, it wasn’t a shocker. He takes a moment to register the voice, which he knows quite well, fortunately. He knows most voices well seeing as he’s analyzed his competition, and after a moment of searching he glances back over his shoulder.

He scans the small girl over, consolidating his predictions before he decides to turn completely around, Cubi at his shoulder and impatiently bouncing into his head in attempts to tell him to hurry the hell up.

"Hello." He greets quietly with a tilt of the head. "Can I help you?"

When he finally spoke Rin took a second to process her own reply. She needed to sound good, she needed to impress. Looking up to him she just decided to go with first thing she thought of. "Hi! Yes! Wait- I mean no. No not exactly." Rin caught herself awkwardly. What a way to start it off. "Well uh, I mean there's nothing in particular that I'm needing help with. But I did want the chance to meet you!" She quickly explained. "I'm normally pretty busy so I can't always meet new Vocaloids. But I do want to when possible! I've heard a lot of good about you from others. So I wanted to take this opportunity to properly greet you. I'm Kagamine Rin!" She bowed quickly to be polite. Rin hoped she wasn't saying too much or making it awkward. It was hard to judge a person when they've only said five words to you so far.
