K, so I redesigned the first 3 panels, so that took a little longer to get done, and panel two is being done on another piece of paper. But here is the 1st pencil of the coming I ain't got a title for.

So I love Judge Dredd, I can even tolerate the first 10 minutes of the 1995 movie. I've tried drawing him many times and so far, most have been so shit that the shame makes me cry blood. But I think I got him down with these, these aren't my compositions, but here's dredd alone in the dark with Judge Death and Dredd punching a man with teeny tiny hands. Why no postie

Hello Friends

So, this is day 7 of a #100daysofcomics. Being honest, I was drawing a five page comic called Dawn Prince, but I’m sort of ran out of steam, so get some more steam in my petty coat, I’ve started a new short comic. A 6 page strip in which I take a folk tale ascetic, set it in a bygone age and have a rabbit and raccoon kick the shit out of each other. That’s what I was doing today. I will post art soon.

I will finish Dawn Prince soon too, it’s not like I did a bunch of thumbs and gesture drawing and gave up in the bottom of a bottle of Knob Creek. I swear.

Hello friends.

My name is Markus Pattern and I want to become a comic book artist . I have spent the better part of my adult life trying to make it as a musician and it turns out that I was the only person who wanted that to happen. However the artist muse is a bug and not one you can not shake easily. I’ve always drawn, a need to express myself, so I decided to throw myself into the process. That was last September. Turned out I sucked, massive donkey dick. So I’ve set about learning stuff, figured out where I done fucked up on, tried to pinpoint my flaws and generally wallow in an anime and whisky filled despair. I also learnt gesture drawing, something I’ve never heard of before and I went to art college ( a shit one in the north that I promptly dropped out of) but a useful thing nonetheless.

Well, not anymore. I find I work better to deadlines, that other people impose, and quite frankly, sitting on my own, not showing my work isn't getting me anywhere. So, I am doing a #100daysofcomics. Publicly, out in the open, so you can see if I fail or succeed. A 💯 days of comics, and at the end of the time, I shall have a portfolio worth showing, a website worth visiting and hopefully by the end, an actual comic book for you to read. That is the aim.

So please join, and praise me for my minor successes and scorn me terribly for what  I'm sure to be my many fucking failings in achieving a simple task.

sounds bout right

I chose to remain a domiciled taxpayer for a couple of reasons. The main one was that I wanted my children to grow up where I grew up, to have proper roots in a culture as old and magnificent as Britain’s; to be citizens, with everything that implies, of a real country, not free-floating ex-pats, living in the limbo of some tax haven and associating only with the children of similarly greedy tax exiles. A second reason, however, was that I am indebted to the British welfare state; the very one that Mr Cameron would like to replace with charity handouts. When my life hit rock bottom, that safety net, threadbare though it had become under John Major’s Government, was there to break the fall. I cannot help feeling, therefore, that it would have been contemptible to scarper for the West Indies at the first sniff of a seven-figure royalty cheque. Hey Folks, how’s it?

As you may know, I played a gig on the 31st August, which was my last solo gig, for a while at least. After about 2 years of doing this shit solo, I’ve finally listened to what people have been saying, about me needing something behind my music. So I’ve started a band, it’s called Bear VS Rhino, I’ll keep you up to date, like when there’s one of these type of pages, gigs, music and shit like that. So yeah, it’s all about Bear VS Rhino now.
