All problems lead back to Geoff Johns, Lex Luthor, and Jon Kent
god i wish people would read comics before posting about them
i know this is intense but if my son came to visit me from the future and it was jon kent i'd get an abortion immediately

thought abt superman and started sobbing
the difference in kons relationships with tana and knockout is very interesting to me. knockout pursues kon this is made clear from the very first issue where she calls him “jailbait” and says smth along the lines of “hes never been with a girl like me”. her approach is very sexual she makes comments abt his body and sexual innuendos she kisses and grabs at him exposes herself in front of him and near the end of her time in sb94 she attempts to rape him on the volcano. ive always seen her relationship with him as the more blatant form of grooming its one that leaves no room for arguments its depicted in the way most ppl think of grooming. knockout treats kon likes hes older kon says this himself as well as (iirc) knockout comparing his relationship with tana to smth childlike while she and him are real their relationship is mature. she outwardly pursues, sexualizes, and assults him and they allow you to see their relationship as bad at the end without acknowledging why it is. the way she talks abt him like an object. at times its blatant the way she sees him, but its subtle in other pieces of dialogue. hes her “pup”, he protects her, his body is hers, his powers are hers, thus HE is hers. she tells him so during the losin it arc that she wanted him to be her lap dog that she trained him to follow her commands told him that when she said jump he would ask how high and while knockout IS a villain in the story its not bcs of the nature of her relationship with kon but bcs she killed the cop and lied to him abt it. even after her arc and time as a character in the run is basically over shes treated as if she were a real romantic interest to kon. when he visits her one last time and she attempts to manipulate him into breaking her out kon admits that he really did love her and that he holds onto this hope that he can save her its not written from the standpoint of kon being a victim which is a shame bcs i think if the writing was intended to be this way this dialogue would be very good at showing how ppl handle situations like this. she also shows up in his dream sequence after owaw with other characters that had some form of romance or attraction with him. it’s frustrating that knockout is an antagonist but her evil is not actually addressed her and kon remain a thing of the past never to be brought up again it makes me so sad and makes the beginning of his run that much harder to read knowing that it wont ever be acknowledged that a character, whos second appearance ever contains her lifting a limp 15 year olds body of the ground and kissing him, groomed and abused him.
tana and kon are never treated negatively shes supposed to be his endgame its supposed to be romantic. He pursues Her and it’s emphasized continuously throughout the run its meant to be in your face its meant to make it right. tana isnt in the wrong bcs Kon wanted her bcs kon continued to pursue her. her doubts and the way she mulls over their age gap is refuted by kon so how could it be wrong? its very intentional that kon chases her and that she “reluctantly” gives in its the excuse to fall back on. tana isnt overly sexual with him but it doesnt mean she isnt at all very early in the run she has to tell herself to get her mind out of the gutter when thinking abt him. shes possessive of him and feels jealous and insecure when hes around girls his age. she Knows its wrong but she does it anyway bcs she wants him shes not just giving into him she waits for the guilt to fade, for him to tell her its right so she can push the wrong to the back of her mind. shes plays a push and pull with him she doubts the validity of their relationship and then he convinces her its ok and it lasts for a while before a new doubt arises. it leaves kon anxious especially after hes stuck at 16 kon is so afraid of ppl leaving him he has nightmares abt it and during this all she does it get angry at his immaturity and eventually Does leave. her loves was something he needed to chase it was no unconditional it was smth easily lost he was made to feel guilty at mistakes or at the way other adults around him used him. she uses their relationship to her advantage as well she gets ahead in the news world through him makes a name for herself because shes always there hes her boyfriend so why wouldnt she be the one reporting on him? its a conflict of interest that she is against early into the story its not really fresh on my mind how long it lasts but its a conflict that is gone by the end of the run. kon gets no closure at the end either she dies in his arms and he blames himself hes not allowed at her funeral and the guilt follows him to the very end shes also in the dream sequence and again shes someone he has to chase after. she haunts him both the years she was in his life, as well as the weight of her dead body in his arms are things he cannot forget and are things he carries with him always. he cant view tana as bad after everything she was his first love and in his eyes he was her downfall in a way the same could be said for knockout he loved her but in the end he could not save her. kons past is clouded in guilt in self blame and sacrifice he gave himself to anyone who wanted a piece of him and all he wanted was love. his time in hawaii is so tragic how badly superboy wanted that place to be home for the people to be his family, but they did not love him the way he loved them and they would never sacrifice half of what he would and did for them. KON EL YOUR HEART IS TO FULL OF LOVE AND YOUR SOUL IS TOO PURE 🙁🙁🙁🙁🙁🙁 THEYRE GONNA KILL YOU
I binged the entire caped crusader seasons 1 and 2 all day plus began playing chronicles so here r some doodles and I also have many opinions on it. Many. Opinions. But I’ll get into that later
I know peoples feelings on carrie as grey ghost. I don’t care, she was cute in ep 8 and it’s the only one where it feels like it isn’t doing shit just to shock us (aka bore us to death with all their hot takes). They really just said we r gonna switch everything up for switching it up sake so I think by now I’ve accepted it’s all a different take and wake up tomorrow to do my takes on it
the way you guys portray and talk about timkon makes me feel homophobic.
