Waiting on a power transformer in order to finish this 25 watt combo amp. Other than that she's wired to go.
Coming close to finishing this 25 watt combo. It features Weber transformers and speaker and is built for maximum headroom. The circuit also features the sweetest bias tremolo going.
Introducing a stereo tube phono preamp. The phono-booth.
Hardware is mounted. Time to start soldering.
One step closer to another Gever.
The beginnings of a stereo phono pre-amp for vinyl aficionado and all around suave mofo, Jay Booth.
The beginnings of a 12" combo for a great guitarist; Marcel Rousseau. this will be a 25-10 watt switchable combo amp with bass and treble tone controls, reverb, volume and master controls.
Introducing the Boyd Lance. An 8 watt, single ended, pentode driven guitar combo which will feature a 10" Weber speaker. The amp will have regular and bright inputs, volume and a gain control.
The beginings of two more Gevers. One for me and one as a demo unit. Let me know if you are interested in testing it out. After testing the first one for a month before shipping it i couldn't go back to my old pre-amp. This version of HaGever will have one extra feature, a gain knob which will change the input stage's gain characteristics. it won't change the tone drastically but will add a compressive character to the signal.
HaGever is up and running. tonnes of headroom and punch with just a little top end sparkle and big warm bottom end.
HaGever is coming together.
Boyd Gray is complete and off to a new home. Sound and video clips coming soon.
Getting close to finishing the Bryar Gray. Electronics are wired and in place. Just need to test, tweak and then do some final cosmetics.
The completed cabinet and baffle of the Boyd Gray amp.
Here is a completed chassis for my latest piece, the Boyd HaGever Bass preamp. Designed from the ground up for Johnathan Shkedi (Man Alive), HaGever will be a single channel pentode driven all tube bass preamp with a fully buffered fx loop and standard 1/4" output as well as a transformer isolated balanced xlr output for recording or live applications.
Here is the completed Boyd Wy-1, built for (in my humble opinion) one of canada's greatest guitar players, Wyatt Burton (The Silverhearts). A 15 watt push-pull design loosely based on the Gibson GA-40 Les Paul. The tremolo circuit in the GA-40 is in my opinion the sweetest sounding of all commercially available guitar amps and outperforms bias tremolo or fender style optical tremolo circuits. The amp is equipped with a 10" weber speaker and weber transformers. So far this is the sweetest sounding amp i have built.
