yallā¦ā¦. thereās no such thing as homoromantic asexuality or whatever the fuck like the split attraction model is not real. it was created by a homophobe to pathologize LGBT identity and reduce it to a series of sexually deviant āsymptomsā (and, by categorizing and dissecting those who exhibit those symptoms, to put an end to the recreation of those symptoms violently). aside from the fact that it was the theory behind conversion therapy, the split attraction model is based on the premise that lesbianism, bisexuality and gayness are identities are simply sexual in nature. it oversimplifies the LGB experience to the acts we may do or the urges we may have, further cementing the idea that LGB existence is nothing more than a pornographic performance. itās also heavily dependent on the idea that sexuality is somehow separate from romantic attraction and is purely predicated on biological features, which is a hugely transphobic and fetishistic view of nonstraight identity.
