colin  returning  to  the  wizarding  world  post - war  caused  an  argument  with  his  family,  leaving  him  estranged  and  essentially  disowned  by  his  parents.  they  didn’t  want  him  going  back,  believing  that  he’ll  be  safer  with  them.  two  days  of  passive - aggressiveness  and  one  final  fight,  colin  turned  around  and  didn’t  look  back  (  except  keeping  contact  with  his  younger  brother  ).  so  when  he  rejoins  the  wizarding  world,  he’s  alone  and  isolated.

perhaps  colin  didn’t  die  during  the  war  but  something  else  must’ve  died  inside.  his  smile  seems  a  little  dimmer,  his  laughs  fall  a  little  flatter.  yes,  his  body  survived  but  a  part  of  his  soul  did  not.  he  was  far  too  young  to  see  the  horrors  of  war.

starter  call.     like  for  a  post - war  starter  !!  colin  survives  the  war  and  is  just  re-entering  the  wizarding  world  after  hiding  away  with  his  muggle  family  for  a  couple  years.

so i'm on my way home & still stuck on mobile but i just wanna add something to colin's verse post-war !! after rejoining the wizarding world and leaving his muggle life behind, colin does dabble in freelance photography and tried to start up his own photography company. but he also does start working for the prophet part-time as he starts up his company.
