On the application it says 2-5 piece examples in the portfolio but on the general information for merch artists it says we can have 5-10? Am I in the wrong section of the app or is it okay if I go ahead and put my gdrive link with 10 pieces in?

Is there anything people applying for the merch artist position need to know besides what’s on the general info doc? Because I saw where it talked about how the comic artists have to have certain expectations and whatnot- but are there different rules applied to merch artists? Idk how to phrase this better I’m sorry :’) and by different rules I don’t mean easier/lenient- just different.

No worries I get you! We hold the merch artists to the same standards of being able to meet the quality and timeliness like the comic artists! The thing to take note of if you were accepted as a merch artist is that because this is a longer project than most, you would be required to design at least 2-3 final merch pieces instead of 1. Other than that, there’s not much difference in our expectations bw positions except for the actual work process/deadlines~

Hello!! I’m super excited for this Zine!! :D but I have a couple questions- For the Zine for merch artists, do we have to have a specific amount of following from our art account to be able to apply? Also are any social media accounts (besides tumblr) required as well- such as Instagram, Twitter, etc?

Nope! Following has no bearing in our criteria. The only requirement is a good portfolio~ Also thank you so much for your excitement!! We’re excited too ;o; <3
