You know my parents have never really spoken of the possibility of my falling in love, or getting married, or having children. Even as a little girl, they wanted me to think of a future career, as a, you know, as a interior designer, or a lawyer, or something like that.
So I decided to finally pull out my guitar after a year and honestly with all this free time I have now I may start playing again for the hell of it. I don’t know, but with all this free time I can start actually picking up new hobbies that isn’t the gym,but let’s be honest I’ll find myself in there still.
“that’s honestly great ━━ you should definitely hone that skill, right? i mean i wish i had some sort of musical talent. i tried to pick up violin in high school and it was kind of a disaster. pretty sure my old next door neighbors still harbor some kind of resentment for it.” brady shrugged, “besides, the gym can’t be nearly as exciting as making noise that sounds pleasant with strings and a hollow piece of wood.”
‘ you know, i really didn’t think that the ‘dog’ part of this was what i’d have to explain to people, ‘ liv said, frowning. like, yes, it’s a dog. people still know what those are, right? ‘ it’s a stray. and i mean, i’m pretty sure it’s half starved, so maybe like, you could share? ‘
“well, i’m just trying to clarify, y’know. if he’s yours then bringing him back to you would be the objective,” brady explained. “—but if he’s not, we should call a shelter or something, especially if he’s hungry. i used to volunteer at this shelter on the weekend in high school, i’m sure they’d take him in.”
‘ hey, uh - ‘ liv feels kind of bad for bothering someone, but it’s urgent, okay? ‘ have you seen a dog? ‘ because she’s been been searching for half an hour now. ‘ he’s about this big, and he’s super friendly…unless you have food. ‘ because she’s pretty sure that her favourite stray-turned-sort-of-pet would have no regrets about stealing someone’s food.
“a... dog? you mean like, your dog? are pets even allowed in the dorms? i forget.” brady questions, scanning her surroundings quickly before turning back. “i’ll keep an eye out. just — don’t think i won’t fight him over a slice of lemon loaf from the bakery down the street, i love that place.”
ricky was in the library, yes the library, writing an essay for his philosophy course. he was listening to music to drown out the noise of the chaos surrounding him in his social life. "hey," he said taking one airpod out, "so...back to the grind, right?"
“the grind never actually stopped for me.” brady shrugged placing her color-coded notes in front of her, “pursuing a law degree is kind of demanding.” she motioned to the large stack of papers and a hefty book open on the table. “guessing you enjoyed the festivities then? not too much fun though, if you’re here studying and not nursing a massive hangover.”

brady is the daughter of a former oakmore football player and a notable oakmore academic.
she has had big shoes to fill her whole life & she puts a lot of pressure on herself to fill them. not only are her parents successful, her older siblings are too and as the youngest, she doesn’t want to be the one that ‘fails’
she’s v perfectionistic. i almost chose caroline forbes as her character bc i get those vibes. she’s v particular about everything, esp her own appearance & reputation !
she’s v friendly and sociable but sometimes it isnt the most genuine, she wants everyone to like her at all times, so sometimes she can mold herself into what she thinks that particular person would want.
she’s a lot like a politician. she is just running around all the time like she’s trying to get you to vote for her in an imaginary election.

former friends turned rivals. childhood friendship that turned sour, we can plot out the reason. brady is very single-minded and can neglect her relationships with others.
frenemies. they have similar minds & personalities; competitive, perfectionistic, intelligent . they bump heads but if they put their minds together they could
confidants. someone she goes to when she needs to vent, she trust them but also feels they could ruin her. she could be the same for them as well, i think it would be interesting if they both confided a secret to each other they don’t want anyone to know??
unlikely friends. two polar opposites who get along for some strange reason.
unrequited crush. so brady is 1000% against the idea of a relationship & scoffs at the idea of love & romance so i think the idea of her having a crush would be interesting. she doesn’t know what to do with her feelings & tries to deflect from anyone ever finding out. whether they know or it’s one-sided could be plotted out !
study buddy. two academically minded ppl who like to go to the library or their dorm to relax and study.
role model. someone who brady looks up to a lot. they would have to be nearly flawless in public to meet brady’s high standards. someone who seems like they have it all figured out, smart & influential!
