Signs of Life . Finally getting around to posting some work I made during the initial wave of COVID and quarantine . Hunkered Down . Like this fawn of the year, I’ve been keeping my head down. Trying to keep my somewhat established but also fledgling business afloat, spending more time with family than the previous 15 years, being out of doors. Reassessing values, winnowing down to the simple and necessary. Acknowledging the privilege implied in being able to do so . Reading, thinking, waiting. But also charging into the unknowable future with plans, hopes, love for fellow creatures . Hope and love. And light . Hate, racism, fascism are persistent, terrible. But ultimately poor, weak things. Easily defeated with a measure of each of the above . Mayflies hatch from the cold water of the Clark Fork River.
