He placed a hand on her forehead— well she wasn’t burning up so she couldn’t be sick and she didn’t look delirious. She looked like her normal self, beautiful and strong. 

"Tris— if you’re playing a joke this isn’t funny."

She looked at him. Blinking  slightly. She sighed.

"No not a joke. Something erased my memories."

"Yes I know, I was just— It was the first thing that popped up into my head Tris." Even though he knew it was the wrong thing to say. But he was glad she didn’t try and kill him for it. He did know when woman were pregnant their hormones were unpredictable. "I hope so Tris." He knew she’d make an amazing mother, but himself…? Sometimes the apple didn’t fall far from the tree. He chuckled and pressed his lips to her forehead, "Good idea."

She gave him a peck on the lips. "its fine I promise." she said. She smiled at him."It'll be fine I promise. Stop thinking badly." She laughed. "Yes very good idea."

"I think we should have another."

Tris looked at him wide eyed. I am haven't even gone into labor yet with the twins. Though I am close as they say to "popping" why don't we actually wait until they're born to give them siblings. Might be hard to be double pregnant. That and I was thinking of having more maybe not too soon. Though it's nice seeing you go from is the baby actually mine and scared to wanting more. It makes me happy to know you want children with me. And possibly more.

Tobias knew that he wasn’t the only one feeling this way. She was terrified. No matter he words he could see it in her eyes, hear it in her voice. They were both still so young and had no experience with children & now they were to have one of their own. He lifted her chin and smiled, “You’re right. We can do this.”

Tris smiled at him. "Now that is more like it." She told him. She kissed his cheek. "I don't know how to be a mother, but I do know how to not be one." She looked into his eyes. "And you might not know how to be a father but I know you know how to not be a father." She was relieved this turned out in the end. "I'm glad we're okay now. Your first reaction wasn't exactly what I expected. Boys should never ask if it's really theirs to a girl when brought this news" she said with a laugh. "Now you know better." she teased him. "I do like the idea of having a family with you and would probably in the future be okay with having this conversation again but the FAR FAR FAR future. Let's not be giving this baby siblings anytime soon okay."

What the hell are you talking about?” If this was a game she was playing, it was not funny.

"Because we’re together Tris."

She looked at him. "I...." She felt stupid now. "I don't remember you or my name or my family or anything."

As much as he wanted to believe her, it was hard too.

"You don’t know that Tris." He supposed she was right but what was he supposed to say? He placed a hand on her stomach and leaned his forehead against hers. "Maybe you’re right."

Tris smiled. "I do know that. You can hurt a selfish  evil prick and are good with a gun and a knife, but a child? definitely not" She felt happy about it all now. better. When he touched her stomach she melted. All of a sudden she couldn't wait to be farther a long. To feel the baby there. She was scared but excited. "I am right and we both will be fine. I think..."

As he drifted off to sleep, a familiar voice shattered the silence. Eyes widened as he shot up— her eyes meeting his. "Tris…? Oh god Tris." Relief flooded his system as he wrapped his arms around her shoulders.

Tris blinked. "That's my name?" she asked .The boy seemed relieve she was alive. She felt safe with his arms around her. "I don 't remember  you or much of anything but I like you." It was odd saying that. But she felt  happy saying it. "I feel warm and you feel like home. Why is that?"

"Do you know why I’m afraid?" She probably did, and he felt stupid for even asking that question.

"Just…I love you Tris, okay?"

Tris knew why he as afraid. "Tobias your not him. You'll never be him." Tris had seen Four be very violent when in desperate times. But he never hurt people because for the thrill of it. If it felt good to shoot hurt someone it was because it felt good to defend oneself, and that was what Tobias did protect and self defended. "You don't like violence for the sake of it. You could never hurt a child."
