Then the LORD called Samuel. Samuel answered, “Here I am.” 1 Samuel 3:4
The boy, Samuel is one of the characters in the Bible that I admire most. I always wonder if he felt lonely and sad! He was left there to tend to the chores of the temple at such a tender age. How he must have missed his home and his dear mother, Hannah!
The Bible says he ministered before the Lord under Eli. He was an obedient child. How do we know that? From the fact that he ran to Eli when he heard his name being called. Little did he realise that it was God who called him.
Are we able to hear the voice of God? Like Samuel, are we able to say, "Speak Lord, for your servant is listening?"
Or are we drowning His voice by our busyness and our pleasures? Are we diligently seeking Jesus and serving Him? Do we want to be used of God like Samuel? If yes...
•Then be diligent in whatever God has called you to do.
•Be diligent in seeking Him.
•Find time to be still in His presence.
1 Peter 5:6 ❤️
...this verse is like a breath of fresh air. A refreshing drink of cool water. Take a deep breath, everything will be alright. God will provide.
