He rested his head on top of the brown hair, nuzzling before kissing him. “Still….I’m not much help….”

Tsuna smiled a bit, wrapping his fluffy black wings around their bodies. Now Hibari could get twice the hugs. “Shush-shush. I’ll probably ask about things like this again... But really... All I want to know is whether or not you like it. That’s all.”

He wanted to look good, now that he wasn’t covered entirely in bandages and his wings were beautiful and full again.

“Okay but lets you get somewhere safe…” Hibari pleaded not minding if Dino put his weight on him. He didn’t look that heavy anyways. He tried helping him move slowly towards the bar door.

The man Hibari had stabbed a while back slowly made his way back to his van and got into the driver seat. As the wheels screeched against the cement road to make its escape, three loud gunshots almost deafened the raven. One of the bullets hit Dino in the back while the other two barely grazed by Hibari.

“Dino! Are you okay?”

Dino had been about to lean on Hibari when the shot fired, and, for half a second, he was glad he was slow to move. After that half second, he buckled, pain searing his body and blurring his vision to virtually nothing for a long while.

He hit the ground, but didn’t feel the impact - his body was too focused on the agony from the gunshot wound. He couldn’t speak, his jaw clenched tightly and grinding his teeth.

Distantly, he registered Hibari asking him how he was, but all he could do was shake his head, the briefest of movements.

Fuck, everything hurt.

"No..sorry im not really helpful with these kinds of things…" he wrapped his arms around the smaller waist and returned the kiss.

“That’s okay.” Tsuna fit perfectly against Hibari’s chest, and in his arms--as if he’d always belonged there. And, well, in a way, he had, hadn’’t he? He just didn’t remember it all.

“You don’t need to apologize~.”

Hibari nodded placing his hands on Dino trying to steady him. “Maybe you should call someone….we should head back inside before more of them come…” hibari advised looking around.

"Can you walk?"

“I don’t know. Can’t see straight...” Dino let Hibari get close, let him touch him. He tried not to lean on Hibari, though, because he didn’t want his weight to hinder Hibari. “We can call Romario to come get us...”

While the guy screamed and fell to his knees when Hibari jabbed the glass into his leg, the raven crawled a good distance away before standing up. Breathing heavy he looked around before running over to Dino

"Are you okay?" Hibari asked obviously worried about him. He looked like he was in pretty bad shape.

Dino leaned back against his damaged car, unable to stand up straight. Blood dripped down over his face, forcing him to close one eye. “Mm’fine...”

He’s not fine. He can’t see straight and breathing hurts. “Are you okay, Kyoya...?”

His assailant went down to the ground and growled angrily as his leg was bit. Seriously? ! He kicked him with his other foot, obviously not going down easily since he was getting paid by the president. And he couldn’t go back without finishing the job.

Hibari mean while was still struggling to get away and trying to get to Dino to help him. He still had the piece of glass and used it to stab his attacker in the leg. This would all be much easier if he had his tonfa from home with him….

Dinos attacker freed himself and grabbed the bat again and started swinging angrily again.

Dino grabbed the bat as it came down on him, making a last effort to put the pain out of his mind, and yanking it out of the attacker’s hands. When he had it, he jammed it into the ankle he hadn’t twisted.

He took a chance to stagger to his feet, despite how much pain he was in--maybe it was adrenaline, he couldn’t be sure--and swung the bat against his attacker’s head, connecting with a resounding crack.

Dino wanted to get to Hibari, though he knew Hibari probably needed less help than he did at the moment.

A hand covered Hibari’s mouth as he pulled back towards the waiting van. However he was a lot stronger than he used to be considering he was getting almost 3 meals a day and sleeping properly. He kicked the man behind him in the groin before shoving him off.

The bat continued to swing down on Dino before the man kicked him him in the face. “The President sends his regards Mr. Cavallone.”

Dino growled before the foot connected with his face, and he grabbed that foot, twisting it at the ankle as hard as he could--he didn’t want to be the only injured party--and biting into his attacker’s leg (he has no illusions of nobility and honor when he’s being kicked stupid).

He was used to beatings, though, and was more concerned about Hibari, who despite having grown stronger, had still been caught by surprise.

Dino was still beaten, though. He’s bruised, he’s bleeding and he’s pretty sure at least one rib is broken. Or something. Pain throbbed in him throughout. Breathing hurt.

He sincerely hoped the President burned. A fiery death for the devil himself. If thoughts could kill.

“Yeah sure I guess…I mean…You don’t look bad in it…” It was clothes…as long as Tsuna felt comfortable it should be fine right?

Tsuna quirked a brow slightly before smiling. “You don’t really have an opinion, huh...?”

He didn’t mind. It was better than a lie. He moved closer to Hibari and kissed him softly--whispering a brief ‘I love you’ against his lips.

Tsuna almost purred—if he’d been capable. “That’s great. Thank you.”

He puts the cut fabric on, careful of where his wings are. “How is it?”

Because he always wants Hibari’s opinion.

He just shrugged, “I don’t know…Fine I guess.” What the hell was he supposed to say? That Tsuna looked sexy or something?

Tsuna blinked at him. He tilted his head. “Do you not like it, or something?”

He didn’t necessarily want Hibari to call him something like ‘sexy’, but he did want to know if Hibari actually liked it or not.

Hibari tilted his head at Dino and then at the car before leaning down and picking up an interesting peace of broken glass. It was a force of habit. He was about to ask if Dino was okay but before the words came out he felt someone grab him from behind.

“Dino watch out!” While one man held Hibari, another one approached Dino with a baseball before swinging right at his head.

Dino jolted at Hibari’s shout, and he looked up right before the bat came down--he had enough time to put his arms between the bat and his head, giving himself at least somewhat of a buffer between them. It still hurt like fucking hell, but he grit his teeth against the pain as much as he could.

If Hibari hadn’t warned him, it’d have been so much worse--probably a cracked skull.

Hibari smiled happily as if it were christmas day and followed Dino to the kitchen where he had his burger wrapped up into a fancy box.

He followed Dino out of the back exit, he was barely paying attention to what was in front of him until he heard himself step on a shard of glass. Usually that wouldn’t mean anything. If he were still in the outer walls he would have picked it up. But it was strange to see litter in a place so clean like the inner city…

Thats when he finally noticed that Dino’s car was dented all over, the windows were all shattered and the driver side door was barely attached anymore.

Dino frowned at all the damage to his car. “Mmn...”

He knew he wasn’t well liked on the Court for his subversive ideas and his blatant distaste for how the residents of the outer wall are treated, but he’s never been the target of this level of violence before--at least not since he’d grown up and taken his father’s place on the Court.

He hadn’t had to deal with vandalism or a beating since he’d been a teenager. But he also knew he hadn’t done anything near as bold as swipe an auction prize out from under the President--but the President hadn’t even attempted to start the bidding war until after the auction gavel smacked down.

Dino grumbled softly, kneeling down to inspect some of the damage. He’d liked that car, too.

Hibari was just teasing Tsuna. He held the dress up and measured where to cut before going to kitchen to get a pair of scissors. “Is this good?” He asked before making the cut.

Tsuna almost purred--if he’d been capable. “That’s great. Thank you.”

He puts the cut fabric on, careful of where his wings are. “How is it?”

Because he always wants Hibari’s opinion.

Hibari chuckled before taking the dress. “Are you sure? I think it’ll look pretty good on you.”

Plus easy access and all for Hibari~

Tsuna pouted at Hibari. “I wouldn’t be able to move my legs around very well...”

At least, he didn’t think so. But then again... If Hibari said it would look good... Tsuna looked between the backless dress in his hands and Hibari, conflicted.

Honestly Hibari had stopped paying attention to Dino a while ago for the burger. He licked the ketchup from the corners of his mouth before nodding.

“Is it possible I can take the rest of this home?” He really wanted to finish it, but he couldn’t at the moment. He was way to full he was afraid his stomach would explode.

“Hm?” Dino tilted his head. “Yeah, sure. We can grab a box on the way out, if we leave through the kitchen.”

He shrugged on his coat as he started to head toward the kitchen and the back exit.

“I’m fine…” Hibari reassured again. But the idea of going home soon sounded nice. He had enough of the loud general public for a while. But luckily he was away from the main gathering of people. Hibari hated crowds…

“Home sounds good…” He nibbled a bit on the odd sandwich Dino had brought him before realizing how delicious it was. The meat inside was so warm and thick it was…incredible. But he kept that information to himself and just ate however much he could as he continued to watch Dino buzz around the room like a busy bee.

Dino finished up the last bits of work before returning to Hibari. “Ready to go?”

He was ready to go himself--he was kind of exhausted, and he wanted to get Hibari safely home, too.
