He didn’t went to school the day after what happened. He knows most people would talk about what transpire the day before and during the 4th of July. It might make him look more guilty by simply staying on his house instead of  facing the problem by hand. But he can’t, eyes staring at the lyrics he had wrote about Miss Grundy (what was her real name anyways?) and now they felt   empty. Was it all a lie? He feels dirty and used and stupid for letting it happen.

“I said I didn’t want anything dad.” He doesn’t even turn around as he hears the knock on his door, eyes still fixed on the handwritten lyrics. Archie is having a problem of how to react exactly, and when the door opens, he turns around. “Dad I mean it   ” but he is cut short at the sight of Veronica. For some reason he feels guilty, even more, he feels like he had let her down. Let everybody down. “Veronica   what are you doing here?” He frown, turning over as he was looking away once more.

||    ♕    ||——–   It all came to her quickly, the news of exactly what had happened on the Fourth of July. Not only did Archie lie to the police apparently he had lied to everyone. She had decided to count herself out of the lying because maybe, just maybe this was the one person he had thought about when she asked if he ever felt the kind of love Betty wanted him to feel for her. So, she decided it was probably the best to once again take things into her own hands even though her mother told her not to; quickly she managed to get a good portion of people at school to shut their mouths with the gossip and after school she grabbed another shipment of cupcakes she had ordered. They could fix anything, they fixed her friendship with Betty; they could fix whatever pain Archie was going through too. 

After showing up his father told her he was up in his room to which she thanked him before quietly standing in the doorway. She was trying to think of the exact words to say in most cases she had them pre planned but this was different.  “ Wow, do I really resemble a middle aged man already?” A stupid joke but a soft smile was on her lips, the gloom in the room was suffocating her in a sense.  “ I came to make sure you were okay, I know we all grilled you about Grundy and things are probably horrible in hindsight for you know so I wanted to see what I could do for you. ” It was a genuine statement before she quietly walked over, leaning foreword carefully moving her hand to hold the small box of cupcakes in front of his which wasn't facing her. “ I also brought cupcakes, they tend to help me with everything so I figured we could talk about it, or something else and eat them together. ”

The happiest part of the episode for me was honestly Kevin. I rejoiced with the Grundy stuff finally being done, and now I am depressed the end of that episode just killed me
