summary: reader wakes up sick and wants chicken noodle soup, so oscar comes to the rescue.

you wake up and roll over to cuddle with oscar and find an empty bed, which is odd as you two normally cuddle in the morning. why aren’t you cuddling this morning? oh. it’s not morning. the clock reads 15:49 and you realize you slept all day, you also realize you can’t breathe out of one nostril… and that you’re really hot, and you have a headache, and your throat hurts, and- my god how sick am i?
you pull yourself out of bed and shuffle to the living room to see oscar on the couch “hey, are you alright? you slept all day” he says when he sees you walk in “no, i think i’m sick” you say, wincing when you realize that made your sore throat worse “oh i’m sorry sweetheart, do you need medicine?” he says, feeling bad that you got sick “uh no, but i’d like some soup” you say, already craving the salty broth. “yeah, i can make you some” he says, getting off the couch to go to the kitchen “thanks baby” you say as you, yourself, curl up on the couch
after 30-odd minutes oscar comes back with two bowls of chicken noodle soup, one for you and one for him, he sits next to you on the couch after giving you one. you have a spoon-full and it instantly makes your throat feel better, not to mention the delicious taste. you both sit watching whatever was on and finish your bowls. you were sleepy, somehow, after eating so you took a nap while oscar continued with his day. when you woke up the headache, sore throat, and congestion were gone. leaving you with a slight, but manageable, headache as you got up to get another bowl of the left-over chicken noodle soup.
