So how long’ve you been here anyway?
Not too long.
[ Not long enough that it feels like home, but long enough that he's comfortable. He likes the people here, really -- likes the Professor and his fellow mutants, different as they all are. And maybe he likes some of them better than others -- he still hasn't seen much of Hank, and the other new ones are a little quiet, but he's got a soft spot for Giselle and they're friends, or something like it. ]
A couple weeks, give or take.

[Bobby lets out a low whistle upon seeing the pair of wings sprouting from the man’s back and extends his own hand, hoping the guy—Warren—doesn’t have an aversion to cold.]

[ He's gotten used to the handful of different reactions he generally receives when he meets someone new. So far none of them have been negative -- he's thankful for that, really he is -- and it's a little funny, really, watching people.
Warren's smile crawls across his face. ]

[ He takes his hand and it's -- a lot colder than he was expecting.
(He wonders if it has anything to do with what he can do, but he's trying hard not to ask people straightaway.) ]

[She really needs to come up with something that makes sense, something that she can tell the people she finds when she finds them so she doesn’t sound so stupid.
But she’s tried before, tried coming up with different similes, different metaphors and trying to construct something that makes some semblance of sense, but it all ended up with her rambling on and on.

[ And that's not the right word either, that sounds like he's sick and he isn't, but it's the only way he can think of describing it. ]

[As with Angel and Raven and even Hank and Darwin, Alex is a little distracted by wondering if he’d be allowed to touch them.
He decides that the answer is no. And no, it isn’t weird. The guy has wings, seriously.]
It’s a labyrinth here for the first couple of days.

[ Gesturing at herself, she shrugs a shoulder. She’s not a Xavier, not blood related to Charles but close enough, she thinks, that the point would get across. ]

[ Heat crawls up the back of his neck, burns the tips of his ears. ]
