Arrival in Bayview | Jonah and Abel
Jonah and the team stepped off the bus and into the sunshine. Bayview lay stretched out before them, just waiting to be explored. Cyrus made a snorting sound beside him.
“Oh come on, Cy, this’ll be fun!” His Shiftry didn’t exactly…enjoy their flight from Kalos, and he wasn’t too keen on the bus from the airport in Tueris to here, either.
Caesar was, unsurprisingly, quiet, and eager to stretch his wings. Ramona was still inside her ball, where she couldn’t get up to any mischief.
He reached for the sky and let the sun beat down on his freckled face. “Friends, this is the adventure we’ve been waiting for!”
The team set off for the main part of town, ready to get something to eat.
They found a Pokepuff stand, where Jonah purchased each of his charges one of their favourites: a frosted mint one for Caesar, a plain spiced one for Cyrus. He let an excited Ramona out onto the street for a fat, frosted citrus puff. The boys ate theirs in small, polite bites. Ramona got cream all over her foxy face in her haste to taste as much of it as she could. Jonah laughed at his oldest partner.
They passed a hot dog stand, where Jonah could get something for himself to fuel up. He stopped, payed for his smokie, and returned to his rag-tag team of dweebs.
“What do you say we go try and find some green space to sit and relax, hey?” he asked. Cyrus looked the closest to excited that he had all day. Caesar gave an earnest nod, and Ramona squealed in delight.
“To the park it is, then.”
They had been in the park not fifteen minutes when someone came along the path in front of them. Small-town bumpkin he was, Jonah called out to the boy. “Hey! How’s it goin’, dude?”
