reblog this if your muse is Not Straight
The pokemon are pretty eager for potion, even the ones that don’t really need it. (Reiji does tend to take care of baby pokemon so immaturity like this is an issue.) They make this very clear.
They like the idea of being riden there too. A few of them even dub Shigeru ‘new breeder’ so yeah, all those worries about being depended upon too much… poor Shigeru.
"All right, come on," he took off his backpack and dug through for whatever potions he had on him.
"…We’re going to need a lot more. But whatever works."
He hoped Reggie was doing okay back at his place by himself. He was not sure how he managed to get there in that state.
Gary had already been gone for a long time, so he had to make this quick.
They enjoy the potions and fight a little over who gets the most when they think that Shigeru isn't looking. One of the older pokemon starts to put baby pokemon on it's back and begins to head impatiently towards the pokemon centre, perhaps with the same worries as Shigeru or perhaps just to get the pokemon centre visit over with. Probably the second one. The pokemon goes on ahead at quite some speed. Between this pokemon and Windie, the pokemon either hitch a lift or are able to make it themselves and are off.
-
Good thing they won’t want to kill me now, he mused. Otherwise…
"Thanks, Blastoise. We should maybe get others to help with getting the Pokemon there. Maybe Arcanine can ride some of them there." He reached for her pokeball. "…I do have a few healing potions myself. I just remembered. Let’s take care of that, first."

what's a furry?

"Why are you being accused of that? Of all things?"
"Because SOME people—" Looks at Colress, "Are gross."
"Would you like me to have a word with them?"

One of the young pokemon crawls over and climbs up Shigeru to start rubbing his temples, since appartently Shigeru needs to do that a lot. It’s probably not one of the best reactions but still.
The other pokemon aren’t quite so cute. The sight of the monsterball makes them nervous. They crowd together and a few ready thier attacks. They await Shigeru’s pokemon though, each moment feeling each second last longer than it does.
Hearing Reiji’s name again as well as Shigeru’s logic does help a lot though. Somehow little facts are sinking in.
Gary wanted to shove the Pokemon off, but he was a little charmed with the Pokemon’s sentiment. He called Blastoise out of its pokeball and instructed it to communicate with the Pokemon.
Blastoise always had a gift for reasoning with other Pokemon… he often did whenever Arcanine and Scizor would get into fights.
"Come on, like I told you guys, I’m not here to hurt you."
The pokemon is happy to remain there.
The pokemon listen though a little surprised not only to see such a big pokemon come out but a slow one, neither good for stealing them or calming them at first sight. The fire types also drop their guard, after all, if this water type wanted to beat them he could do easily. As they listen to Kamex more guards are dropped and a few even look apologetic.
It should be pretty easy to get the pokemon over to the pokemon centre now.
-
Gary stared down at the Pokemon. “So you came to your senses, huh? I understand you all are a little shell-shocked by this… unfortunate turn of events, but I’m not here to hurt you. I came here by Reggie’s request,” — he knelt down to one of the crying Pokemon — “Maybe there’s a way we can bring the Pokemon Center here. I’m no doctor, though.”
He sighed, rubbing his temples. He did not like it when people or Pokemon alike became too dependent on him. He had to do something about this. Get them to get a hold of themselves as that was a necessity if this was going to go well.
"Come on! Knock it off! Hey, I got it," he reached for Blastoise’s pokeball. "If I can’t get you to understand, my Pokemon can."

Gary was at a loss of what to do. Clearly, these Pokemon did not trust him, and with good reason. They did not know who he was or why he was here.
On one hand, he could just leave them and tell Reggie that everything was fine back at the daycare. Everyone was scared out of their wits, but everything seemed perfectly normal. He forgot about the mess the trainer left, but what Reggie didn’t know would not hurt him.
Besides, these Pokemon were intelligent enough. They could clean the place up themselves.
He knew that was too dumb of a move to make, though, to just run. He was already here, and he had already decided to help him out as the kind, unselfish person he was.
Heh.
He sighed, rubbing his temples. “Look, I’ll just go. Clearly you can handle yourselves. I mean, don’t you think that, if wanted to harm any of you, I would have done it by now?”
The pokemon listen to Shigeru and his words trickle in. They remain still, unnerved by Shigeru's statement. Didn't he say before they needed to go to the pokemon centre? Why was he trying to leave? Okay, being attacked probably had everything to do with that. Still, that last bit: would he? People who hurt pokemon are weird but still, if Shigeru was trying to hurt them, he would be going about it in the worst way possible: after all the next attack might not miss.
With this one of the pokemon nudges Shigeru awkwardly. They start to organise themselves a little better in terms of getting pokemon to the pokemon centre.
The fear isn't completely gone, but it's showing differently. The pokemon that attacked is now sobbing uncontrollably. Others are shaking, and others are showing fear in ways unique to them.
It would be pretty easy for Shigeru to leave now. Some of these pokemon are looking very cute and in need of sympathy. Considering all that Shigeru has been through, they wouldn't blame him for leaving either.
Truly, if Reiji refused every case that he mildly disapproved of, he would have no money at all.
"It’s worth it to be around this much cuteness. Plus, doing this job, lets me get to do more interesting stuff." it’s true to: Reiji has got quiet a few more worthwhile jobs simply from recommendations from jobs that he had seen as mildly annoying.
Reiji wonders why Shinji pointed out the paw prints. The pokemon were outside just a while ago, of course they would leave paw prints. Reiji realises that with Shinji having travelled for such a long time, that yes, Shinji really hadn’t seen the floor in that sort of state before. ”Well, yes.” He gets up to clean up the paw prints and paws.
"If it makes you happy," Paul trailed off. He sat for a moment more before getting up, too.
He is not a kind young man at all, but Reiji had a bad habit of being an exception to most of Paul’s rules. “Where’s the broom? I’ll sweep.”
Reiji grimaces, sure that his chance to move the mistletoe before Shinji sees it is gone. He just hangs his head and doesn't reply.
"Sorry." The idea that the mere act of getting up doesn't point Reiji as guity doesn't occur to him.
-
Didn’t want the hassle? How lazy.
All the same, Reiji made a living off the inability of others to do things—or rather, the lack of desire to do things—themselves. It was another check in the mail, and eternally budget worried Paul figured that was fine.
"If you’re fine with it," he gruffed. "… yeah, it’s none of your business, really. It’s a job, not a commitment."
The baby pokemon seemed to have finally tired of sitting on Paul’s chest and walked off, following the others. Surprisingly, the young man only sat up, calm enough.
"… it left paw prints," he grunted.

Some of the pokemon are not amused though they huddle round and soon realise that none of them ever heard the nasty one from before use Reiji’s name. With this, they hesistently let Shigeru see the injured pokemon that really aren’t that large in number all things considered. With the amount of strong pokemon in the Day Care, and the fact that both the Tobari Brother’s like their defensive statergies, but the main damage is property damage with the bigger pokemon taking the attacks for the babies: only seven or so actually got caught in the fray. A couple of lisyan with mild burns, a fuwante that’s a lot less fluffy that it should be, a monjara with severe burns, a yukiwarashi that’s surprisingly not that hurt considering the typing and all, but still has some burns, a togepi that looks like it probably sat in the middle of the carnage doing nothing as it got hurt repeatedly, and finally a fainted karanakushi.
As this happens, a few of the pokemon look at Shigeru not too sure what to do either. They don’t trust him enough to get the pokemon to the pokemon centre and they’re not too sure they can do it themselves.
This sight was unbelievable. He wasn’t sure of what he was supposed to do to get the Pokemon to trust him, and he still wasn’t sure as to why the actual hell he allowed himself to do this in the first place.
Oh, yeah. Because contrary to popular belief, he wasn’t that much of a dick.
Though if this resulted in anyone becoming too dependent on him, eh, on second thought, he did bring that upon himself. He could be over the top with his generosity, and the times in which he would be generous to anyone at all were very rare events.
"Are we all going to just stand around here?" He glared down at the Pokemon. "I understand that some of you are injured, but you still have legs. Or wings. If you don’t have that much energy, then that’s fine. I’ll see what my own Pokemon can handle, but we have to get to the Pokemon Center. It isn’t far from here, is it?"
If Shigeru could speak pokemon he would hear, "It's a trap. He's going to steal us all."
Fortunately, this particular paranoia isn't the common feeling amongst the pokemon and only one attack (that misses) is aimed at Shigeru. However that attack would be pretty hard not to miss.
Before Shigeru has a chance to react, the pokemon push the attacker away and a scuffle breaks out. Soon, only the pokemon that aren't injured aren't involved.

What had he dropped? Narrowing his eyes, Paul frowned.
All the same, he followed Reiji’s lead, managing to get a purr out of the shrimplet. “Why can’t she do it herself?” He didn’t mean from a business end—did she not have the time? “What does she even need fully evolved pokemon for?”
He paused.
"… whatever. It’s gonna pay you well, right?"
"I think she just didn't want the hassle. Some people are like that. I've learnt that it's better all around to not say anything." Reiji swifts his eyes away from the baby briefly and confirms that yes, he will be in trouble when Shinji gets up. "In fact, I decided against asking too many questions, especially since there didn't seem anything that odd going on. She's giving me enough time and is visiting the pokemon often enough." Reiji looks at the pokemon and distracts himself with a little petting of his own.
That little one will not leave your chest unless you really force it off and Reiji is a little happy about that.
"No, I’m very grateful for the help. Shinji." He says hoping that his brother will stay put whilst he finds a cute Christmas bow to shove of Shinji’s head due to the nice stillness Shinji is in. "Thank you."
Maybe this is a good opportunity for an inescapable hug. On the other hand, Shinji has just done Reiji a favour and that should be repaid in kindness so Reiji considers his actions well. (Though maybe Reiji under estimates how much force Shinji is willing to use.)
"Meh. Anytime." Seeing how the little one wasn’t going anywhere, Paul raised his hand to try to gently pet it. How well it went was debatable, but the baby didn’t bite him.
"So, are these hatchlings you came across, or did someone drop them all off?" Might as well find out how long these runts would be in their house for.
Surprised by the sudden distraction Reiji drops the mistletoe and turns in an attempt to look innocent.
"Oh, I'm breeding them for a friend. She will need them fully evolved." Reiji smiles at the sight for Shinji attempting pet the pokemon and pushing all thoughts of picking on Shinji aside. Instead he sits next to Shinji and pets the pokemon with a lot more success. "Like this, with more of your thumb, see."
"I’ve never seen so many kittens in one place."
"They're all so cute too." Reiji might look calm but inside he's buzzing. Seeing animals in the pokemon world is pretty rare and being surrounding by them and some really cute ones is getting to Reiji.
Send my muse one of the following to see how they react! (Fluffy)
"You. Me. Cuddle. Now."
"Don’t move, I just got comfy."
"I’m scared, hold me!"
"I bit my lip. Will you kiss it better?"
"Tickle war has been declared!"
"Bunny pyjamas, really?"
"I’ve never seen so many kittens in one place."
"Come on, just one bite."
"I never imagined you were so… ticklish."
"You’re so huggable."
"You’re under arrest for being too cute. Put your hands where I can hold them."
"Have you fallen asleep on me?"

"It’s all right," he told the Pokemon. He was not that intimidated. "I came here by Reggie’s request. Is everyone else all right?"
He was not sure how to go about this. He just came here without a second thought. He still was not sure what prompted him to be so generous. Something about the fact that some pinheaded trainer attacked the defenseless breeder because Reggie felt that the trainer’s methods left very little to be desired just bothered Gary.

Once they were both inside, Paul rolled his eyes. “Yeah, yeah.” All the same, he made sure the door was shut.
Now, how to get them down. If he put down one arm, the others might fall out of his arms. Frowning, he finally just dropped onto his butt and then onto his back so he could just let the babies walk off safely.
"This is dumb." He only said that because one decided his chest was comfortable.
That little one will not leave your chest unless you really force it off and Reiji is a little happy about that.
