My favorite!!! I finished this at the end of the summer last year but never posted bc i put it up for display as soon as it was done. This is definitely the most complicated block I'd done up to then, and sat on this pattern and cherry-picked solids for about a year before feeling confident enough to start (in the end, there's still one stinker block I didn't place properly orz) I'm really happy with the free motion too! All came together really lovely, wip under cut!

Hippies, grunge kids, goths...but by the time emos came around, all the adults were like oh no, the boys have long hair & I can't tell everyone's gender, this is totally unprecedented & a massive issue. We need to bully them mercilessly

Part of the reason why I didn't even come close to figuring out I was trans as a teenager was that back in the day you could just be a girl dressed in the same skinny jeans, baggy band t-shirts, flannels and wearing the same exact unisex converse and it was literally so normal
