I like to keep up with these blogs a little more regularly than I have. I completely missed blogging for my last VoxBox but I'm getting back on track with this one. I have to say right off the bat, for rules sake, that I received this product complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.

A few weeks ago, I recieved my third VoxBox in the mail. I didn't even know it was coming but it sure was a welcome surprise when it showed up. I had just put my last new blade on my razor and written them down on my grocery list to pick up next time I stopped by the store. What a coincidence that when I open my brand new, unexpected VoxBox, that I find a new razor! Gilette Venus is coming  out with a new razor that targets sensitive skin and those who shy away from shaving regularly because of it. I do notice that the slightest things break me out, so I am definitely one of those girls that doesn't shave every single day because of it. It's painful, itchy, and just plain unpleasant. 

My first reaction to this razor was how light it was. I'm still adjusting to this because I'm used to my old razor which had a decently weighted handle made mostly of a metal material of some sort. The Vesus Sensitive is all plastic and extremely light which makes it mildly hard to hold on to at times actually. =/ 

My second reaction was that it doesn't quite get as close of a shave as my old razor - we're 0 for 2 here with this new blade and at this point I'm pretty disappointed. I have to mention that my old blade is a mens razor blade. Maybe this is the difference in the closeness. They both have 4-5 blades on each razor head so that's not a significant difference.

But the difference I do see, is that I really DONT break out as much in my sensitive areas. The closeness of the shave isn't a large difference between my old and new razor so that's not necessarily a deal breaker because the lack of razor burn is really a thumbs up quality for this product. 

Overall, I'd say this product isn't a life changer but it's useful for what it was sent for. I have this blade and a spare that was sent with the product so I have a while to keep testing it. I'm going to be honest and say I'm not sure if this is a product I'll be purchasing in the future, but I have a while to decide as well.

I knew I had qualified for a VoxBox but I never expected to actually receive one. I work out of town on the weekends and Saturday while I was down in Columbus for the weekend, I got a text from my mom saying "Why did you order dish soap? You know we have some left here right?" I had no clue what she was talking about because to my knowledge, I hadn't ordered anything online. I've been trying hard to save money so ordering something that I easily could have run to the dollar store for, was not even an option. I checked my bank account and didn't see any unauthorized transactions... So I didn't worry about it.

I got home at the end of the weekend and realized exactly what it was once I opened the box and saw what was in it. So. Excited. Dish soap? How can I be excited about... dish soap? Well, because it was free, they all smelled great and they were PRETTY COLORS.

The bottles are pleasing to the eye because they look clean, neat and modern sitting on the corner of my sink. I don't feel like I have to hide the big ugly bottle when I'm done using it. They all smell amazing - I don't feel like I have to wash my hands with my favorite hand soap when I'm done with the dishes. It's a pleasing smell and I would easily use it for hand soap at the sink instead of grabbing the bar out of the bathroom. They also suds up SO easily!! What better way to know that your dishes are squeaky clean than to see all those bubbles!! That old saying we learned in kindergarten, "Not a lot, just a dot" applies all the way to this day, not only with glue, but now my new favorite dish soap. 

I basically have no reason to put this product down or to refrain from recommending it to my friends or family. This is definitely a product that I will repurchase as I like using it and I don't feel that it's too expensive to be able to afford on a regular basis (As regular as buying dish soap is) especially because it should take me forever to finally use the entire bottle since I only need "not a lot, just a dot"

Go buy Palmolive Fresh Infusions. Smell your soap. Then use it to clean your dishes, make your kitchen/hands smell good, and make your heart smile at all of the aforementioned. =]
