The Truth.
It is not enough. It never was. It never will be.
I feel the lack whenever I see him. No matter how hard I try, the feelings will remain. There is no use in lies. Comfort, they will never bring.
It is not enough. It will never be.
I love him.
sometimes i forget how many times i’ve picked myself off the floor, how many times i’ve washed away smudgy makeup and put myself to bed. how many times i’ve said no to something unhealthy. said yes to something good. how many times i’ve treated myself with kindness and patience. i forget how many times i’ve tended to wounds and made peace with my own anger. if i was taking care of a body that was not my own, i’d believe i was doing everything i could. so here’s to remembering that i’m doing the best i can.
i want them both

You are helpful, and you are loved, and you are forgiven, and you are not alone.
John Green (via twloha)
“Look, in my opinion, the best thing you can do is find a person who loves you for exactly what you are. Good mood, bad mood, ugly, pretty, handsome, what have you, the right person is still going to think the sun shines out your ass.”
Juno (2007) dir. Jason Reitman
The beginning of love is to let those we love be perfectly themselves, and not to twist them to fit our own image. Otherwise we love only the reflection of ourselves we find in them.” - Thomas Merton
I am also learning how to feel. I’m learning that it can be safe to experience emotions. Running away – literally and figuratively - only temporarily removed me from the pain I was feeling. In order to exercise in a healthy way, I had to learn how to feel without searching for a way to self-destruct. It’s been a massive struggle to learn to accept myself. I’ve had to work to believe that I am OK exactly the way that I am, that nothing needs to be “beaten” out of me.”
