DIARY ENTRY NO 4

Time is creeping in on me and the stress is starting to rise. With me not being in college and no face to face tutoring. Any way i have been out shooting on high fields park at night time around 9 30. Managed to get some more wire wool images and light photo. Now the cyanotypes have been driving me crazy. My images have not come how I imagined but, trial and error. See i think i have realized my error, again time is of the essence and I’m running out. So now iv changed my mind and not saying to much just got to get my head out of my bum and blast this out this assignment. Everything else is done just this. Now with the current climate i am trying my best to keep myself sane and not loose plot.

This last week is going to stress me. my images i think are ready just need to collate and organise to place on tumblr and my final images on my word press site

Diary for FMP

Entry no 3

Over these two days I have tried to do some light photography. I have been to highfield park as my location and my back garden also house. On Monday some of the images I caught were good, with my light painting I cannot ever think of a theme I just do what my mind tells me to do at that moment in time..

Changed my mind on what im doing with this assignment, also done some wire wool photography,

Took photos of my niece. My wife and also my kids.

With the light photography tried to create some product light photography results ok.

I have also made over 20 cyanotype papers and 3 canvases ready to produce cyanotypes. For my research i have wrote up on cyanotypes also wire wool photography, my portrait images have been shot. I also quick edit using an app on my phone as another form of being able to edit without Photoshop.

Sat goin to hopefully document a gathering let us see how this pans out.

Diary FMP no 2

Now that I have got my cyanotype kit. After reading the instructions. I went away and pre-made 10 small sheets of cyanotype paper, prepared a piece of wood

As the sun was beaming last week I took it on myself to do some cyanotypes. I already pre-made my paper and also did a piece of wood (prepared). Doing the cyanotypes was simple well I say simple; the sun was blazing and was a perfect day for doing them. Now with me doing them I thought I was OK in the process not realizing that I should of removed sheet of glass. This was stopping UV rays doin their job properly but hey ho.

They were test shots .

As well as that I have done some light painting and tried some wire wool images too. I feel like I've slipped a bit as i’m still trying to think of my theme for cyanotypes and I know times ticking.

I will do this jhanos I will.

FMP DIARY

Diary for FMP Entry no 1 Week commence 27th April 2020

As I started my fmp last week this will be my first entry. So to date I have completed my mind maps. These have helped me a little bit as always I choose a subject then never stick. I have also wrote my proposal and sent to tutor hoping he confirms its ok. Tuesday I took some shots to use within my fmp, I did class them as test shots but some are actually nice and I’ll have to be a fool not to use some of them. Later in the evening I went on laptop and created some negatives using Photoshop. Theses looked amazing so I wasn’t waiting around they were printed out on some transparent paper, well only four as my testers. The actual quality of the negatives shocked me, they look great. Now it’s about making my cyanotype paper, this I am going to do Friday night once kids settled. I have also sourced some wood to try print on to, this will need prepping in which I’m on top of. My lights arrived for my light painting so weds night went to BRAMCOTE PARK and did some test shots. Wasn’t impressed with them. I know where I messed up so will fix rapid. Roll on next wek

FMP PROPOSAL

I am reaching the end of one journey hoping to begin my next one into university. Now for my FMP , this being my final project , I have struggled to decide what to do, after a variety of mind maps and still no closer to deciding I had to make a choice so I have chosen to do CYANOTYPES. as well as placing some light photography and wire wool photography too just to bulk out my work.

My theme is not thought of yet, I know it will just go pingggg in my mind so not stressing oneself.

Now with our crap country on lockdown in this madness locations have become minimal, so my front and back garden have now become the spots. The birds in the morning tweeting away, the bees, all that insect activity going on outside under rocks and logs, the spiders and my family have all now become subjects for me.

I will say that my interest for capturing these very small non-human subjects really is starting to grow. Within my garden the variety of insects is amazing you just got to find them and be ready to capture your images.

The research I'm doing for this, is going to help me be able to move forward with the developing of my cyanotypes, as I have a little knowledge concerning the production of them. The cyanotypes are going to be made on different mediums hopefully and by mediums, I mean paper, glass, canvas and even wood. With the paper I'm trying two different gsm levels, hoping to get different appearances in end images.

Light painting and wire wool images I have made images prior but now I want to push them further this time, as I still play around with this genre with the help of my wife and kids. I am now awaiting a delivery of some lights for me to then do my light painting as stated I'm now going to push my creative side and try produce some decent shots.

My timing on this assignment now has been a wee bit slack and I know only I can do what needs to be done. My schedule is on point, but I have not been, but I refuse to fall any further behind I need to find that champion mindset and do this to best of one's ability. The weather is not the greatest today so work wise I must go back indoors.

Now for me to complete I must stay on track, do what I say I'm going to do.

Produce a great FMP stand proud confident and be ready for one's next challenge in life
