Quick recap with photos from last night's meet-up at Against The Grain Brewery.
Always true...and always loved these posters...
Awesome Advertising!
Definitely one way of selling non-alcoholic beer...
What else are we missing?
Some good info on Lore Brewing in Danville, Kentucky.
Got a brief news article up on the awesome beer scene in the Louisville area.
Top Kentucky-Made Beers
We are suckers for end-of-year lists and reviews...particularly ones that involve beers.
"Top Christmas Beers?" Will read it every time...
"Favorite Beers of the Year?" We will spend too much time thinking about our personal list...
With so much happening in Kentucky with the craft beer revolution, we know that NEXT year will be the year for a comprehensive list as more microbreweries come online around the state.
So what are your top Kentucky beers of 2011? And what are you most looking forward to trying in 2012?
What do Norah Jones, Christopher Walken, the band “ ****edUp”, Vegan Black Metal Chef, Sam Brown, nightmare of Eastern European folklore Krampus, the Catalonian Pooping Log, Dave Arnold, chefs Lidia Bastianich, April Bloomfield, Kurt Gutenbrunner, Eder Montero, Alexandra Raij, Carlos Llaguno...
CAN'T WAIT
Website
We are close to launching the website...lots of cool features to easily find all the exciting things happening in Kentucky beer culture. Stay tuned...

This is a great 5 minute piece on how Bend, Oregon (a town of 80,000) manages to support 47 breweries! Check out the audio link from Oregon Public Broadcasting here: http://news.opb.org/article/there-beer-bubble-busting-bend/

Beer Engine in Danville has a good one coming up this month...
Nice to get a little shout out and to see so many good stops along the Brewgrass Trail in one article...
Kentucky State BBQ Festival (and beer)
Yesterday saw Danville mobbed with BBQ lovers from across the region for the KY State BBQ Festival.
Thousands got to taste/sample/gorge on all things BBQ, with many of the cooks selling out with astonishing speed.
It was no different at the beer tent, where Lore Brewing Company and Kentucky Ale served as quickly as possible to a ton of visitors. It was good to see a large and a micro side by side--and next year, you might see more Kentucky brewers at this insanely popular event.
Gettin' started...
Just getting cracking on this blog/tumblr. Hope to keep everyone posted on all the great beer news coming out of Kentucky in the days ahead.
In the meantime, check us out on Facebook and twitter (@brewgrasstrail) as we work on this site and our website. (www.brewgrasstrail.com)
