ReCraft Your Oktoberfest: Bavarian Bars - Radegast Hall and Biergarten

Bouncy notes of oompah bands, wafting smells of soft pretzel and the clink of beer steins, it can only mean Oktoberfest. If you can’t catch a flight to Munich this September try to find a place like Radegast Hall and Biergarten in Brooklyn. Bavarian bars are popping up around the country in a way reminiscent of the Irish pub explosion of the 1990s and Radegast is one of the best. The bar features over sixty imported beers and the menu is full of filling German dishes. The bar half of Radegast is dark and cozy while the Beer Hall sports a retractable roof and long communal tables perfect for hanging out with old buddies and raising a toast to new friends.

The Classic Portland Oregon brewery Widmer Brothers always seems to please with their W Brewmasters' Seasonal Release. The W'11 Russian Imperial Stout - KGB. This Stout is in a league of it's own. Go to the store and get a six-pack TODAY. This beer that only sticks around January - April sure doesn't mess around. The roasted barley creates an almost smoky taste. The huge body, the spicy hop aroma, the thick head, the warm comfort of a winter seasonal - I'm surprised the creators of this magic were able to fit it all into the bottle.
