Flying to Louisville - Thanksgiving Edition
6:23 AM Alarm clock goes off. 6:31AM Shower. And I sure hope whoever sits next to me on this plane does too. 7:01AM Brownies for breakfast? Why not... It's a vacation. 7:06AM "Live tweet your trip" note from Charles. [from the night before, 'but I don't have a twitter,' -me; 'use that blogger thing.'] 7:20AM Catch a red line train, as I get to the station. Perfect. 7:39AM Orange line as I arrive too? This is some lucky day. 7:45AM These orange line stops are flying by. Thank god I just have to get off at the last one. 8:15AM Damn, this is a long security line. Immediate panic. Saturday morning is the best of the amateur traveling public and the off hours TSA officers. They need to start a queue system rigged on time to departure - if you want to be at the airport for 2. 5 hours, you can take the 'slow line.' 8:26AM Woman dashes past everyone in line... 'I went to the wrong airport, I need to get an unaccompanied minor on a plane.' This kicks off all sorts of reactions. In my head, and from those in line with me. 8:38AM 'Upper echelon' - Travi$ Scott ft TI and 2Chainz comes on Spotify shuffle. It's hit me. Mcdonalds visit is in order. And my gate is just across from it. Win. 9:10AM Flight 2784 boards on time. Row 8, aisle seat. Not bad. Waiting for potential bench mates. What will stumble into this plane next? 9:16AM Middle age bearded white man joins my bench on the window. It's a mostly empty flight. Check. This will be easy. 9:17AM 'You can now use electronic devices through the duration of the flight in air plane mode.' My first time. Let's go. 10:10AM Here we go. Down to ground level again. I tried to sleep, but it wasn't happening in this 45 minute in flight journey. 11:20[switching to EST]AM Landed at SDF, and pulling to a gate. Good work southwest. Early by 15 minutes. How much of that is a standard delay forecast? 12:30PM Lunch football, and an afternoon drive. This edition of tweet and travel is ending. Until next time.
