God. RHOC is so boring. No one appears to have any actual drama going on in their lives. It’s just not interesting watching them have the same fake fights over and over.

I hate to say it but I think Tamra’s time might be up. She’s the one who seems to behind orchestrating all this same boring fake drama. The problem is they got rid of her once and none of these women could manage to make even boring fake drama without her.

They need a recast. But…idk if this show even has the steam for that. It’s literally the original Real Housewives show and it feels just so gassed out. Its glory days truly were like the aughts. Nothing was more thrilling than watching the financial crisis meltdown through the lens of these assholes!

I’ve really enjoyed Michelle this season but I have to say in this reunion fight I’m team Lacey. Michelle is just acting really…off toward her. Maybe I’m just such a Lacey stan these days but I feel like she’s tried to work with Michelle because she knows as long as she’s dating Jesse they are in each others life via Isabella. And Michelle seems determined to hate her. Obviously I could be wrong but I’m not buying that Lacey is a secret horrible lunatic off camera.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a worse dress for a bravo reunion. Why didn’t anyone tell her to sit down in it? In front of a mirror? And don’t get me wrong it also looks bad when she’s standing up but the sitting.

This is the first creep she dates. He’s a visiting professor. They meet at a faculty mixer and she tells him she enjoyed a piece he wrote for the New York review of books and he literally doesn’t believe she read it and was like “name three details of X” and this was at the beginning of the movie and I was like oh good she’s about to throw her drink in his face but she actually does it and then he’s like, wow! You can read! (paraphrase) I mean he literally meets her at at a faculty mixer for the English department. And asks her out to dinner and she happily accepts. 🤦‍♀️

This is the Linda Lavin movie I ended up watching probably 65% of?

LL is a college English professor, her husband also a college professor has an affair with a student and leaves the country (??? unclear where he actually is but implied he’s far away) so in response she accepts another professor job in a new city uproots her 14-15 yr old daughter from her life and her house and moves into some dump apartment. You might think oh she got screwed in the divorce but no she’s not divorced and she simply felt the house had “too many memories,” so already you know, not a great start in the mom department. She totally relies on her teenage daughter for emotional support which is incredibly inappropriate. She immediately starts dating some absolute creep who looks to be about 78 yrs old and wears mohair turtlenecks and chooses to take him not her daughter on their planned spring break trip. She also forces the daughter to have a relationship with him. Then when she goes to drop him off a suitcase to pack she realizes actually he lives with another woman so she says to the daughter, great news! Now you can come on the trip. 🫠🫠🫠

They both meet men at this resort. The daughter meets an age appropriate guy who seems nice and she meets a man who she goes to dinner with once and he offers to pay her to meet her at this resort once a month. She tells her daughter this, and the daughter is horrified but LL is like, oh well he’s just lonely. He’s married fyi.

Anyway then she dates a cop who seems nice at first then kinda weird and he asks her to move in almost immediately then she dumps him. She gets a phone call from her husband who she still loves and now is regretting uprooting her life. Girl. She of course unloads all these doubts and regrets on her daughter. I stopped watching around then. Honestly I’d like a sequel featuring how the daughter needed years of therapy to recover from this traumatic period of her life.

My YouTube algorithm showed me one made for tv movie from the 1970s (it starred Stockard Channing and it was legitimately insane) and I watched a little out of curiosity and so of course the algorithm was like, oh you like that? And I say this to let you know there are like a TROVE of 1970s made for tv movies starring Linda Lavin as like a middle aged woman going through struggles of some type. I watched one and it was honestly horrifying the state of like what was “normal” for how a woman was supposed to act? I guess? I don’t know how to put it but it’s very icky.

People will freak out on like threads but honestly it makes sense. Call me crazy but I very much want to get my eyes on those two attempting to be a couple. I can’t imagine I’m the only one. I’m sure some people will be like barf I can’t even watch them and ok. But I don’t come to bravo to root for good people. 🤷‍♀️ I come for the mess.

Like to me the thought of having to watch even 90 seconds of Kyle and Amanda communicating with each other: absolutely tedious, I hate it here.

Watching Amanda and West awkwardly try to convince the audience they are fun and actually enjoy each others company? Yes.

One thing this Amanda scandal has done is absolutely convinced Kyle that he did nothing wrong in that relationship. It’s really crazy. He absolutely sees nothing wrong with his behavior. 🤷‍♀️ Oh well. Good luck going forward I guess. I still maintain his biggest immediate issue is he needs to find sobriety.

In the City Reunion

I didn’t watch part 1 because I’m so checked out of this show. But I’m watching part 2 and all these things Amanda is saying about how shitty Kyle treated her in their relationship are very bad. But again, as always, I go back to ok but WHY did you just stay with him. She has story after story after story of him treating her abysmally and at some point it’s like…???

One of the things she said was one thanksgiving they were out with his family at a bar, he was hammered, and as they were leaving he just leaned into a strange girl and kissed her on her neck. And his response on this reunion was well you were right there I obviously wasn’t going to DO anything!!! Which of course is not the point. For him to do that in front of her AND HIS FAMILY is so incredibly disrespectful. He just treated her like absolute garbage. And he still doesn’t get it.

And now she’s with another jackass who if anything seems like a worse narcissist. But maybe he’s nicer to her in the day to day. This is not a defense of Amanda but yeeesh. She needs to be single. For a while.

I’m so beyond sick of Emily. Every fucking season her storyline is basically her horrible body image problems. Get fucking therapy already she’s like 50 years old. Like I get it it’s tough for women etc and we all have insecurities. But I’m sick of her making no fucking progress. To her making progress is losing more weight. That she honestly never really needed to lose in the first place. But fine lose weight that’s your choice, but also stop making it your entire personality.

We’ve (well Ben let’s be real) got it working but it appears we can’t run the washer and dryer from the same outlet at the same time anymore so yeah. We will still be needing an electrician. It’s an old house. It just needs to be updated. But anyway I’m just glad we’ve narrowed the issue down and the washer is fine.

We’re in the process of getting a new washing machine. One came yesterday didn’t work. One came today and worked for one load and then didn’t work. The problem, we think, is our electrical outlet. It’s reversed. Idk what that means, the guys installing the washing machine yesterday mentioned it and then when Ben looked at it right now he also noticed. He was like, oh is this what they meant when they said it was “upside down?” (he wasn’t here) I said yeah must’ve been? Anyway Ben claims he can fix it. So now we’re sitting here with the power cut off waiting to see if we can keep washing our dirty laundry. 🙃 I’m about done for the week. I’ve had it.
