Eldest: Blood.

Youngest: *attacks and gnaws on my leg with Teeth* Don't you mean bones?

Me: *shrieking*

Eldest, deadpan: And your skin, now.

Wool blanket has advanced as far as it can until I get another four or five skeins (haven't decided yet which.) I don't foresee that being in the budget for the next three years or so though.

I do understand those posts that are like "Don't call your children goblins and gremlins!" I get it. I do. They have my fullest sympathies. "Crotch goblins" is one of the worst phrases ever invented in the English language.

BUT.

When I am getting Youngest off the toilet and taking care of business at the backend and he turns his head and takes a big ol' CHOMP out of the back of my calf and then shrieks with laughter at my holler

Oarfische is begun. It remains to be seen if this is merely swatching so I can get a feel for the yarn or if I'll just take this and run with it. I ought to be able to go ahead and get another skein of yarn now.
