Whilst most of his time was spent out indulging in the finer things in life, Kahari was a smart man. He spent a lot of money, mostly other peoples but he wouldn’t be anyone if he couldn’t stack bills where his mouth was and so he knew the importance of pulling in money too and having investments, of which he was plenty full. His favourite though, of all the places he had his money stashed was Knock Out - if any group of people needed a place to work out their frustrations in was a city like Santa Ysabel and his boxing gym was quite fruitful. Having spent the past hour unleashing his frustrations on a bag he was feeling a little more - personable - and as he caught the others eye he gave a small smile. “What was your punching back called today…mine was Michael…think he learnt his lesson.”
Owning a bakery had been Briella’s dream since childhood, ever since her abuela had begun bringing her into the kitchen, passing her own knowledge on to the young child. It wasn’t the baking itself that stressed her out. It wasn’t even the business, or the day-to-day operations. No, what stressed Briella out was the people. Having been brought up in Santa Ysabel, a child of the infamed Zapata-Acosta family, there was no denying she had an edge to her- a sharpness that simply wouldn’t dull, no matter how hard she tried. So, she’d been forced to find alternate routes to take out her aggression from whatever stupidity the day had brought. She’d been taking a break, squirting water into her mouth when the voice came. “My bag?” Briella asked, cocking her head slightly. “Oh, right, right. Let’s just say Santa Ysabel, it’ll be quicker that way.” Turning to face the man, she placed a hand on her hip. “So, what did Michael do to deserve such a lesson? Something juicy, I hope. I could use a dose of someone else’s drama today.”
