An Archive of Our Own, a project of the Organization for Transformative Works
This is a link to where you can submit challenges via Ao3. You can check anonymous if you don’t want the request tied to your name.
All prompt types are welcome. Including smut/NC-17. Please keep the prompt request itself work safe since some authors do check Ao3 at work and in public.
Orc Speed Dating
For @bright-pompts
Short piece in response to the following prompt: “orc dating service. like J-date, but for orcs // or orc speed dating”
Tusks freshly whitened and a colorful new scarf on her head, Rosie knew she was looking good today. She’d decided to approach this event with an open mind, even though she was still annoyed at her mother for signing her up without telling her. The truth was, she’d been thinking about meeting some new orcs, anyway.
She pulled into the parking lot of the Orc Community Center and read the banner above the door:
MULTI-TUSKING: Orcs-only Speed Dating Event - 2-4pm, Multipurpose Room.

How To Submit A Prompt
To make things easier, please us the Submit link to submit a prompt to be filled. The submission link allows for more text than the ask box and gives the blog admin more to work with when publishing the submission on the blog.
The Ask link is meant for that, just asks. If you have a question or need help, please submit an ask instead of a submission.
Where to submit:
There are 2 ways to submit a prompt to the writers of the bright fandom. You can use the submit button on this blog and fill out a submission there. Or you can go to our Ao3 group and submit there
Bright Shots Prompt Form
If you want to submit anonymously then you have to go through the Ao3 prompt form. No anonymous submissions can be accepted through tumblr. The submission form doesn’t allow it.
Guidelines for submissions:
Be tactful when making your request, do not make demands.
Please keep the language of the request SFW. You may request smut/sex, but do not write an overly graphic prompt.
Some content may be refused outright.
Please do not request specific authors.
There are no guarantees your prompt will be picked up by an author.
Do not submit the same prompt more than once in a month. If your prompt was not selected please wait 30 days before resubmitting
If you request a prompt and it is fulfilled you must leave a comment on the authors work. If you do not, your name will be recorded and your requests will no longer be fulfilled.
What to expect and how this all works out:
If you submit a prompt it is possible that it will not get picked up. That is why multiple submissions are allowed, as long as it is not the same request over and over.
The authors choosing to participate in this are doing so of their own free will and in their spare time between other project. So please be advised that some of these will take more time than others.
Comments are the key to success. As authors we are all a little frustrated at the lack of comments on our work. So we threw this idea together. We were just going to write for each other and comment on each others works privately, but decided to open it to the public. If you leave comments on works of fiction, I assure you, authors will write more.
