I know we all joked that Jonathan is the only character who doesn’t realize he’s in Dracula but I’m starting to get the impression that Count “I too can love” Dracula thinks he’s in Beauty and the Beast

So for the life of me I can't find the link to it, but recently I saw this brief article where the various actors who've played the Doctor named their own favorite Doctors.

Most of them named ones who had come before them; for example, Paul McGann chose One as his favorite, Matt Smith voted for Two, for Jodie Whittaker it's Ten, etc.

Significantly, however, Christopher Eccleston selected Thirteen as his favorite, and for Peter Capaldi it's a tie between Four and Thirteen.

I just want everyone to understand the significance of this. Most of these actors chose their predecessors. They chose past versions of the character that they themselves admired and (perhaps) wanted to emulate in some way, while at the same time putting their own spin on the character.

Eccleston and Capaldi though...they chose a successor. They both played the Doctor to the best of their abilities, putting their own stamps on the character, but now they look at Jodie's version and, in effect, say that she's better.

High praise indeed.
