Es sind Projekte wie die Fotografie am Brillantengrund oder Masterclasses am Brillantengrund, die sich aus dem Ort hervortun. Stets mit der Haltung, alles in Frage zu stellen und neu zu interpretieren. Den selben Anspruch hat auch der Künstler Roland Reiter, der die permanenten Rekontextualisierungen vom Brillantengrund zum Gegenstand der nächsten Ausstellungsreihe macht: Am 01. Juni findet die erste Ausstellung der neuen Ausstellungsreihe Skulpturen #ambrillantengrund statt, die gemeinsam mit dem österreichischen Künstler Roland Reiter konzipiert wurde und in Zukunft Bildhauer mit unterschiedlichsten Positionen im Skulpturalen an den Brillantengrund bringen wird. Für die kommenden Ausstellungen konnten bereits Hans Schabus und Roman Pfeffer als Aussteller gewonnen werden. http://www.roldandreiter.com

Oh That Place has invited creatives and experts active in the field of applied design to present at their next event in collaboration with the women’s network Sorority. Launched in 2015, Oh THAT Place currently hosts a series of 'SNEAK PEEK' events. The events provide a platform for young Vienna based Designers to showcase their work in an informal, unique setting. // The Sorority // The Sorority is a women's network based in Vienna that advocates equal opportunity for all genders in the labor market. They host monthly networking meet-ups, workshops, cultural programs, parties and the annual festival “Business Riot”. With the help of the exhibition’s income two projects helping out refugees in our neighbourship will be realized shortly. We would like to take this opportunity to thank our photographers and supporters for making this possible. Besides, some prints are still available, so this will be the last chance to obtain one of the beautiful pieces at fair prices.

Last night we had the pleasure to host At Pavillon’s video release of „Disco Demolition Night“ in our garage; the very same place where part of the clip was filmed.

On top, the band gave a fantastic acoustic concert, dedicated to their friends and the people starring in the video.

For 4 days the Red Bull Music Academy Bass Camp took over of Vienna once again, with its participants residing, jamming, and producing together at Hotel am Brillantengrund, and putting on four shows in the city’s flagship venues.

Twenty hand-picked participants from all over Austria were put through their paces by local and international creative pioneers, such as Oslo’s house, disco and edit gourmand Todd Terje, revered Ukrainian pianist and composer Lubomyr Melnyk, Vienna’s own sonic explorer Fennesz, Academy alumnus Jamie Woon, Berlin’s techno stalwart Shed and breakbeat maestro DJ Zinc, alongside many others.

During the day they attended lectures, workshops and studio sessions at our hotel, and in the evenings, they brought the unique vibe of the Red Bull Music Academy Bass Camp to the dancefloor of Vienna’s Grelle Forelle, Pratersauna, WUK and Radio Kulturhaus.
