WOW MATT THANKS FOR SELLING ME OUT ON BEING TRASH AFTER THE BEST DAY. Just kidding I am so proud to be trash.

Unfortunately, there will NOT be an official Brimpers meet up this year at NYCC. With Matt and Chip traveling/being busy this fall and with Sex Criminal issues being banked for awhile, we ultimately came to the decision to hold off on putting an event together – mostly so that we can recharge and hit the ground running next year for BIG DUMB IDEAS at Heroes and NYCC when there are new issues and new cons! And hopefully, we can raise a lot of money for a good cause, because that’s always the goal.

But Bri and I will both be at NYCC, and if there are brimpers who want to get together and talk SexCrims (or do some sexy brimping in the bathroom, even), I’d be willing look into the possibility of holding a VERY informal gathering somewhere for people to hang out. It would be more like a lazy dinner/drink get-together than a BrimpForum with no special guests, but we all know that we will gladly talk about comics with everyone for as long as everyone wants!

To everyone that came out to this year’s BRIMP UP 2.0 at HeroesCon this past weekend -- THANK YOU! We loved seeing your shining faces, and we hope you had a super brimping awesome time.

(We also hope you enjoyed learning a LOT you didn’t know about our Brimper Overlords, Fraction and Zdarsky. Guard that knowledge well, and guard it with your life.)

For those of you who took photos at the photobooth, a full album of the event will be available online shortly. We’ll post the link and personal password for you guys once we receive it. In the meantime, if you haven’t already, feel free to post your photos, write-ups, etc. here and tag them with “brimp up” so we can share!

Putting this night together for you guys and giving you all a fun place to hang out and meet up is ALWAYS one of the highlights of our con experience. Thanks for being the best community of fans EVER. We mean that!

We’ve got some fun stuff planned for you guys, but unfortunately, we won’t be running an auction this year.
