He swallowed after a moment and then hummed in thought. “Spicier than I imagined, I think… Very hot like my tongue was on fire for a moment but it tasted pretty good, too.”

“Huh... Good to know.” He nodded, making sure to save that memory somewhere in his head. “Spicy enough that you might not eat me if you go beserk, eh?”

Serph blinked a few times before giving a nod of understanding. He opened his mouth, breath hot on the others arm before he sunk those serrated teeth of his in. Tearing off a small chunk of flesh before pulling away and chewing it.

Heat fixed up the wound and, soon enough, was looking at Serph. “So, how does it taste? As spicy as you imagined? More mild?” He didn’t want Serph to spare any detail.

“Oh? What’s the idea?” Serph perked up a bit, curiosity in his eyes.

He put his arm out in front of Serph’s face. “Take a bite. Just one.”

“Me too. Sometimes understanding things is difficult.” And now he had this lingering taste in his mouth that was distracting him… He should probably go eat.

“You’ve got that right...” Like he couldn’t understand why he was still so curious about his own taste. “Say, Serph, I have an idea...”

“Ah.. that makes sense. I certainly wouldn’t want you to hurt yourself…” It would be bad if Heat lost control and did irreparable damage to himself.

“I’m glad you can understand.” He nodded a bit, though he was a bit upset at the fact his exact spiciness levels would remain a mystery.

“Well you took a bite out of me.” He shrugs. “I guess I just assumed you might be willing to taste test yourself as well.” a wry grin sets on Serph’s face.

Heat made a face in return, looking away. “Of course not! It’s different, taking a bite of a comrade who can stop me from eating more and taking a bite of myself.”

“My guess would be extremely spicy given your affinity to fire.” Serph notes.

“You aren’t planning on taking a bite out of yourself, are you?”

He scoffed, shaking his head. “Of course not! Why would I ever do that?” That would be stupid.

“Yes…” He couldn’t quite resist at least that bit of temptation… Just a lick…

With that he leaned in and licked Heat’s cheek, breathing in deeply to take in his scent as well.

“Hmm…. spicy.” He muttered after pulling away.

“Spicy, huh...?” He sniffed his arm, not wanting to lick himself and be tempted to take a bite. “I wonder how spicy...”

“Well that’s good… I think.” He wasn’t entirely sure how he should feel about it, honestly. “Makes me wonder how you might taste.” However he wasn’t sure he should ask to take a chunk out of him.

“...Yeah? You wanna lick me and try and figure it out?” He would at least suggest that, even if he wouldn’t go any farther than that in this moment.

Serph grit his teeth, a sharp breath escaping him when he felt the flesh of his arm rip away. He looked at the bloody tear on his arm for a moment before using a dia spell to basically stitch it up.

“So…. is it good?”

He swallowed it down, letting out a happy groan and licking his lips. “You taste better than I imagined, Serph.”
