:What? Ewww. Don’t say it like that. You sound like Kreep Out… Eugh.:
-Smokescreen nearly shuddered at thinking about the awful creepy Decepticon, but settled with a roll of the optics.-
:Admit it. I’m pretty clever, huh? The Cons will let us on their ship and not even realize it.~:
-He smirked and elbowed Cliffjumper. Smokescreen opened his mouth to make another comment to the other Autobot, but paused after hearing the cart squeak. Soon they were moving slowly.-
:Looks like we timed it just right.:
::It was a good call.::
/He admits it letting the other remark go. He didn't know that "Kreep Out" personally, but something was telling him that he'd find out how bad exactly he was pretty soon. The cart moved and Cliffjumper inched closer to Smokescreen./
::Looks like we're lucky. Let's just not rush out as soon we get on board. We don't wanna get the entire ship on our tailpipes.::
/He chuckled inaudibly./
::Not right away at least.::
-Smokescreen rubbed his chin as he looked around the mine while they both continued to sneak deeper.-
:Yeah. Good point.:
-He paused after seeing an unguarded stack of energon cubes, already loaded onto a cart. It was most likely one of the last shipments the Decepticons were going to get out of this mines.-
:Wait….Got an idea! Follow me.:
-Without a moment to spare, Smokescreen darted out from cover and glanced around before running to the stack. He activated his phase shifter and jumped into the energon pile. He then stuck his head out to wave Cliffjumper.-
/The red mech followed him puzzled before he saw him disappear in the pile of unprocessed energon./
::Hey what are you-::
/He cuts seeing Smokescreen's head sticking out out of pile of cubes, with the usual sheepish grin stuck on his face./
::I don't know where to even begin on how disturbing that looks.::
/And he was being honest. But before he could share any other clever comments on the subject, Smokescreen grabbed his hand and pulled the red mech into the pile with him. Instinctively Cliffjumper held his companion's arm tightly knowing that letting go would probably result in more energon in his guts than he ever needed./
::Well this is awkward, never got to holding hands on the first date.:
Transformers Prime S2E17
/Cliffjumper smiles to himself. This brings up the old times. Staying close to the ground he takes his position at the other side of the entrance and nodding to Smokescreen they both cautiously enter the mine, weapons ready to fire any moment if they’d end up surprised./
:There’s a guard ahead.:
/The smaller mech takes notice of the lone drone standing on the lookout. The ones they followed had to disappear deeper into the mine./
:Lemme take care of it~:
/He hums playfully and with the help of the shadow he inches closer to the drone, standing behind his back. He taps his shoulder politely and when he turns around confused Cliff walks around him (being smaller has it’s benefits) and pierces his chest with a hidden blade. The drone curls up letting out a faint groan and the autobot pushes him gently onto the ground./
:Take a nap buddy. Coast is clear.:
-Smokescreen watched with a childlike expression of awe as Cliffjumper quickly and quietly dispatched the guard.-
:Nice!:
-He moved from his crouching position, looking around for any signs of nearby Decepticons. Satisfied with Cliffjumper’s assurance in his next statement, Smokescreen jogged over to join the shorter red mech.-
'Keep that up and we'll get onboard in no time! Man, I can't wait to hear Kreep Out's reaction when I get his stuff.'
-With a soft snicker, Smokescreen sneaks ahead Cliffjumper and peaks his head around the incoming corner, scouting for more guards.-
/They could hear some faint voices in the distance. This place didn't look like very tightly secured. Probably the mine was in the last stage of exploit, Cons were wrapping things up before leaving and destroying all the evidence behind (and by evidence it meant blowing up the whole thing to pieces, leaving nothing to scavenge)./
:They should have a bridge or some elevator or something to bring the energon on board. I've seen it before.:
/There was only one way - and it went down, deep into the mine. But they could feel a light, pleasant breeze on their armours, which meant that there was another opening down there. Probably a decepticon made shaft or something./
:Question is, how long till the next shipment.:
:Just what I like to hear. Heh heh.:
-He gives Cliffjumper a thumbs up gesture and slowly begins to inch towards the mine’s entrance. He shifts to one side and keeps a watch out for more of the Vehicons until Cliffjumper can follow beside him.-
:Alright. Let’s get this show on the road, ha!:
/Cliffjumper smiles to himself. This brings up the old times. Staying close to the ground he takes his position at the other side of the entrance and nodding to Smokescreen they both cautiously enter the mine, weapons ready to fire any moment if they'd end up surprised./

:Take a nap buddy. Coast is clear.:
-Smokescreen nods bashfully after Cliffjumper gives him the sign to switch to comms.-
:Still sounds pretty awesome.:
-He then freezes and hides behind the closest tree after spotting drone movement. He waves to Cliffjumper and nods, holding up a single digit to signal how many Vehicons were currently in view.-
:Alright. Just to make sure we’re clear on the plan, let’s discuss it one more time.:
/Clff nods and peeks out the tree a bit to see where are their targets headed. Looks like they were just patron drones. He squats down and swiftly moves in closer to overhear what they were talking about. At time like this he missed his cloaking mod, thing's would be easier./
::Looks like our cannon fodder is heading back to their mine.::
/He throws over the comm and waves his hand discretely to give his partner the sign to inch closer./
::The plan is simple, we follow them back to the mine, keeping the low profile. Hitchhike their ground bridge or whatever will bring us back to the ship, split up, and go for the prize. Easy-peasy.::
-Smokescreen gave a small shrug and glanced over his shoulder to Cliffjumper.-
The war’s all…I’ve really know. Never got to experience what it was like before, heh.
-He crossed his arms together and slowly proceeded forward, glancing along the distant tree lines.-
I’ve heard plenty of stories about pre-war life, but it seems…foreign I guess.
Oh right, you're one of those war kids.
/He smiles a bit sadly. He felt bad for all those young mechs who got forged in the middle of this whole mess, not being able to experience anything else beside endless fighting. He continues tapping his temple first, giving a sign to switch to comms./
::For my pre-war career - it's nothing interesting. I was running errands for A.I.D., you know Altihex was never big but many types went through the famous casino so you had to keep your optics on on trouble.::
/Red mech pauses moves swiftly between the trees staying out of sight. So far no sign of Cons, but the cave was pretty close from their current position./
::Anyway, I was just a delivery boy for the Altihex's local forces. Which later ended up in joining the Autobots after the war broke out and working in the Intel ever since.::
-Smokescreen mock salutes before he dashes through the open ground bridge. He glances around eagerly after arriving through the other side and flicks his doorwings up and down. After Cliffjumper follows through the portal behind him, he converts one servo into a blaster, just incase.-
Now the fun begins.
-He glances to Cliffjumper and smirks before they both set off in the direction of the mine. The walk wouldn’t take absurdly long.-
So….what kind of stuff did you do on Cybertron? I studied in the Elite Guard, but…eh…It’s not much these days.
/The smaller autobot moves closer to his companion, staying close to the ground and gestures to his partner to hide behind the large trees. The coast looked clear, but things liked to get ugly pretty fast for most of the time./
Well, /He smirks and follows Smokescreen's example, getting his weapon ready./ depends if you mean during or before war.
I would walk around the whole planet once or twice if it means getting on Kreep Out’s nerves. What’s a little hour of walking?
-Smokescreen grins and chuckles, playfully elbowing Cliffjumper in return.-
What do you say, Cliffjumper? Ready to go sightseeing?
/Cliffjumper laughs confirming the coordinates and the ground bridge slowly opens, filling the room with the bright green light. The smaller mech moves closer to it and casually bows./
After you~
/He smiles and waits for Smokescreen to go ahead and follows him, first making sure that noone saw them leave. If anything they can just make up an excuse that they went on a patrol, but Cliffjumper didn't want to make up stories just yet./
Whoa, cloaking mod?
-Smokescreen asks, nodding enthusiastically.-
Anyway, yeah. As long as we take it slow and watch out for ‘Con activity, we should be good.
So, are we splitting up to each drop zone, or heading in together in one spot? I don’t mind splitting up or staying together. But. Heh. I understand if you want me to stay near by.
-Smokescreen smirks and makes a teasing expression.-
Hey, Prime would be preeetty upset if I let something to happen to our new recruit, now wouldn't he?
/Red mech snorts playfully and pokes Smokescreen's side with his elbow./
I have a feeling in my metal guts that this - /He points one of the red circles on the screen./ - might be our lucky guess. If not there's another dropzone nearby, just one hour stroll away through the woods. I hope you like sightseeing.
Yeah, yeah. I know. But, maybe you should worry more about keeping yourself safe, Cliffjumper.
-Immediately after walking beside the red mech, he shrugs and lifts up his arm. He smirks as waves his arm that the phase shifter is attached to. With a innocent smile, he leans his arm forward and reaches into Cliffjumper’s shoulder, pulling it back and forth a few times.-
See? As long as I got this baby, I’m safe from most harm. You just got to make sure to run fast enough. Ha ha.
/He is a bit of impressed by Smokescreen toy but his words amuse him more./
Me? /The red mech laughs./ Keeping myself safe? Please. I was working in intel long before you learnt how to drive.
I gotta say tho, I do miss the toys. Cloaking mod was my favourite. Unfortunately I busted it one mission and you know how it is, limited supplies and you just keep working with whatever you get your hands on.
/He sighs and gets down to business, activating a big map on the main screen with few dots marked on it./
The area is quite big and the drive from one dropzone to another might take a while but these ones were marked with the repeating Con activity. I guess noone really checked them out yet 'cause Boss doesn't let us work alone except nearby perimeter patrols.
There is a chance that one of those points might lead us to an active Con mine and from there we can hitchhike their bridge to get on board. We will work out the details in the middle of the operation.
:: Sounds like a plan! On my way there. ::
-As soon as he finished speaking to Cliffjumper, he all but skipped out of his room. Quickly, he jogged out, making his way to the Ground Bridge.-
Heh heh heh. Operation Steal from Kreep Out begins.
-He cackles and rubs his servos together mischievously as he stares the terminal controls from the Ground Bridge.-
/While the other took his time to get over to the control room Cliffjumper checked out those coordinates in their database. When he saw the newbie pulling in closer he can't help but snort seeing his mischievous posture./
Aight, I can see you are pretty sure about this whole thing. Good.
This won't be a sweet drive through an empty highway. No matter how stupid, we can't underestimate the enemy.
:Sure, not even a blip. Pffthahah.::
::Phase shifter. Can’t say I’m familiar with it, but I’ll trust you. And honestly, ‘distraction’ is my second name! But how do you plan on finding the Con’s ship? Isn’t it moving?::
:: Uhh…… Good question. Maybe we can catch a couple of the drones and use them to open a ground bridge? ::
::Hmmm.... That's not a bad idea actually.::
/He glances over to the main console in the heart of their new base./
::I think there are few spots listed in our database that have been marked with the Decepticon activity, ya know like drop zones. I know Prime wanted to check few of those spots for Decepticon energon mines. They hide them quite well, clever fraggers. How about we meet at our Ground Bridge control and talk about the details, hm?::
A big pile of nope
/Cliffjumper was on his way looking for Ratchet when the loud screech of tires got his attention. It was coming from somewhere around the main station. Someone just came back or tried to leave in hurry?/
/Of course the curiosity always got the best of him so he hurried right away to check it out. As soon he popped out from behind the corner he jumped back startled, almost crashing into Smokescreen in his alt-mode who was trying eagerly to leave the base./
Whoa!! Whoa!! Hold down your horses kid!
!!! Cliffjumper? I mean. NO ONE. DIDN’T HEAR A THING.
-Smokescreen cries hysterically as he increases his speed and continues racing towards the base’s exit, swerving as he avoids crashing directly into the other mech.-
BYE VOICE I DIDN’T HEAR.
-The young bot yells as he speeds out, tires still screeching against the cement pavement.-
Where's the fire?!
/He yells after him but Smokescreen is long gone. That was weird. He stormed off as if someone added some nitro to his energon and the kid was now hyperactive./
What's his deal?
Ah, nevermind.
/He is about to continue walking when he remembers the rules of the mistletoe game, but the other participant ran away in a hurry. Cliffjumper glances the exit. Knowing that kid with adhd he was way too far to catch up with him, oh well. He will tease him later about it, now it was time to look for a new victim./

A big pile of nope
Ha. Ha. Can’t talk to anyone if I leave the base.
-Smokescreen immediately glances to the doorway and transforms into vehicle mode. Without a word to anyone present in the Autobot base, he speeds to the exit, leaving a loud screech of rubber behind him.-
Take that you obnoxious grey human! Now to get as far away from every Cybertronian on the planet. Piece of cake~
