Permanent Hiatus

|| I’m finally doing the thing I’m sure was clear was going to happen, or assumed had already happened. I’m putting Archie on a permanent hiatus. I love this muse, and he isn’t necessarily gone. He’s definitely there. I have to move on and realize that the fandom is not what it used to be back when I made this blog. It has changed a lot. A. Lot. So much that it doesn’t feel like the same fandom ( at least not the rse/oras section ). Not saying I’ll leave it. I’ll definitely be hanging around. At least ORAS expanded Hardenshipping from something like seven people into an army lmao.

God I’ve wanted so much to bring this blog back. Archie is wonderful but I seriously can’t help but feel like he’s too intense, and that I’ve maybe scared some partners away. It didn’t seem that much interest was put into him after a certain point. It doesn’t help that I’m terrified of talking to new people ( or making the first move ) and thanks to some mental factors, suck completely at conversations. I will not be deleting the blog. I hold too much sentiment toward it. Thank you to those who have interacted with me in the past and brought this blog to life. Though I know a lot of you are inactive now or no longer identify as roleplay blogs. Archie was my introduction into roleplay on Tumblr and into the Tumblr Pokemon fandom, and you guys really knew how to make a guy feel welcome.      You can find me over on Tabitha, Hidan, or my oc Sedel.      If you want my personal blog feel free to ask via Skype if you have it or through any of these blogs.

   Down the hall, up the stairs, take a right.. or a left?  Left. And the second door to the right, or maybe it’s the left. Maybe he should have gone down the other hall. Ahh, why was this place so big? The blond fidgeted, uncertain if the door he’d been standing in front of was the proper one, or if the man inside could help at all. When motioned in, he lit up, opening the door just as quickly as he shut it. 

“O-oh no! Well, sort of..” Cameron stammered, trying to recollect his composure. Man, he wasn’t the best talker. The building was just so unbelievably huge, and the lady downstairs wasn’t very good at telling directions either, or maybe he just wasn’t good at following them. Ah, whatever the case, it didn’t matter at this point. “ I’m here for a job application. I take it this isn’t the right room then?”

     A usual day in the office consisted of various visitors and questions shot  his way. Content reviews out the ass, and enough emails to fill a novel. It didn’t matter how free he was on any day, he would still get visitors on the hour it seemed. Thank Arceus there were no scheduled meetings for the next couple days in the least. Holding this disguise on top of being Aqua’s leader was plenty reason for exhaustion at the end of the day.      Linked hands rose to act as a cradle for his chin while he observed the boy, slipping a snicker. A brow rose as a hint of familiarity struck, it was recent. Where had he seem the kid before? Though caught up in thought, Archie never let his attention waver, offering another smile. That’s right, he had an interview today.

     “So you’re the lad I heard about.” His chair squeaked as he leaned back, opening arms in welcome. “Take a seat, tell me about yourself.”

     It was about time; new news on Alola showed new species of Pokemon. While Archie took interest, what got him was a specific fish. Was that... a pink humphead wrasse or a reef triggerfish. Whatever. It was something majestic.

     “I need it.”

          A shame for whoever was going to, but he had what, maybe another week in Hoenn? He returned the smile, offering a wave. No need to act hostile, they seemed pleasant enough. Even if they were going to attack him, he could hold his own unless pokemon were involved.            GREEN met blue. The other man was about his height, maybe taller. Nothing really about him projected that he would act with anger. Good enough for Stewart, who rose from his seated position and made his way towards him. A name was his goal at this point. Get a name for the stranger, and hope to Arceus that it wasn’t someone actually important that he launched a bird bomb at. Heh. Bird bomb. He might have to use that later on his travels. 

“I didn’t cause too much trouble, did I?”

     “Not from around here, huh?

     There’s a perfect example of the mindset that leaves his home filthy. This time it was a sandwich potentially harming the wildlife; next time, trash tossed to the roadside and inevitably the ocean. Arrogance.     Still, his smile held as he approached. All things considered Archie wasn’t hostile toward the man, no need for it. Once Team Aqua achieved their goal none of this arrogance would matter. This in mind, their eyes met and the stranger rose up to about his own height.     A hearty laugh shook shoulders, “What’s a bit of fun? Folks come down here t’mess with th’birds all th’time. Can’t say I’ve had someone toss their lunch at me though.”

     Maybe it’s a good thing he stayed in today. From the looks of things it was hectic out there. Too many Rockets roaming about. Actually, there was a hefty amount of Magmas too. He stuck a fork containing some pie in his mouth and nodded, affirming the assumption.      “E’yep. Not today.”

     Ahh... bed. Body sinking into a mattress and pillows enveloping his head; this is all he needed.            Sleep.      And in the morning? Coffee. So much coffee.

          HE swatted at the birds again, trying to shield his lunch. It was kind of his own fault for choosing to eat on the beach, but the sandwich was his damn it. No pokemon was going to have it unless he wanted them to. ( Which at this point, Stewart was ready to let them have it. )           WELL.There was an odd looking fellow. Who wore all black to the beach in Hoenn? It was crazy. But he made a nice enough target. Standing, and still shielding the food, Stewart drew an arm back and chucked the item towards the other man. He didn’t know where it landed, but the cloud of wingulls that followed the sandwich certainly were something. He laughed.

“Sorry stranger.”

     The sun was high and beating down on the beach, its heat partially negated by the wind coming off the water.  His bandanna had been long removed to allow the sea’s breeze blow through his hair as he found himself getting lost in the scenery.  Archie could lose himself in these waves, deep blue, sparkling and rolling for what seemed forever.      --Something hit the ground dangerously close, almost immediately summoning a cacophonous swam of wings and squawks forcing him to curse and jump sideways away from the mess. One of the beasts went so far as to chase him until he was far enough back. Obviously he didn’t want to pick a fight with a bird, so once he was safe a hand set upon his waist and he surveyed the area for the culprit. Almost right away Archie spotted the man chuckling to himself.

    “Y’think that was funny, do you?” Hands in pockets, he offered him a smile and a shrug. “Y’know, if y’feed them they keep comin’.”
