Amazing 8 inning game where all of the kids played their hearts out.
Tough Loss Tonight
Brit pitched a hitless 6th & 7th innings & gave up a hit in the 8th w/ a man on 2nd who scored. He pitched amazingly but sadly can't see beyond the loss. Reds lose first tournament game in his 1st 8 inning game 5-4.
STRIKE 3!

- A pitch by pitch of Brit's dominant outing in relief frustrating both the batters & his very inexperienced catcher. There is an abbreviated version on YouTube titled "Filthiest Slider in the Majors" (approx 1 1/2 mins in length)

1 & 2 Count - Brit hits a great line drive for a double & an RBI
Scrimmage today w/ his select team & opening day w/ Little League tomorrow. Go Reds!

Brit is anxious to take the field & hoping for some more time on the mound than last spring. Opening day is Monday. GO REDS!!!
NALL Spring 2016
Brit has been selected by Coach Daniels to play w/ him on the Reds this spring. Brit also made the NALL select travel team - called The Stars. He's very excited about the upcoming season & knows the pressure is on to perform as this will be his last opportunity to make it to Williamsport for the Little League World Series. Good luck & GO REDS❗❗❗
I’ve never known anyone to be as passionate about anything as Brit is about baseball. He studies every aspect of the game and can give you stats and great details about all players, past and present. He works so hard to improve his own game every day. He is well beyond my minimal coaching ablilities so I made him the promise long ago that I’d make sure he was always the 1st one to get to practice and always the last to leave. Little did I know that would include a 6AM daily workout just between the 2 of us during the off-season. (I wouldn’t trade it for the world!)
Here’s Brit’s first ever introduction to the media (or me w/ a camera)
Enjoy
2nd lost video
I found some lost videos from this season.
I thought this was going to be the last video for the season but there will actually be one more. I hope you enjoy the music which includes a friend singing "Grenadine" by Beth Wood ENJOY!
I thought Brit had lost his mind when he chose to be number 0. Maybe he knew something no one else knew?? Try these mind-blowing stats on for size… ERA - 0.00 Walks - 0 Brit didn’t pitch a whole lot this season (maybe a total of 5-6 innings) but the coach knew exactly which pitcher to go to when the team needed to get out of a jam. Coach Shoppach referred to Brit as his Secret Weapon.
After the last game of the year the coach gave the boys their stat sheets. Brit had Coach Shoppach autograph his. The stats do not reflect the last game of the season. Brit gave up his lead off spot to bat at the bottom of the order. He wanted to bat left handed & the coach has encouraged him to do so. Unfortunately he did not get a hit but he was able to earn 2 walks & scored twice adding to his incredible stats on the season. To quote Coach Shoppach, "Simply amazing!"
Well... The season is over & done. Brit had an incredible season & learned a lot. Coach Shoppach taught him a lot about baseball but the most important lesson that he stressed above all was "Be a good teammate." This was a great message that I hope Brit will carry with him forever more both on and off the baseball diamond.
Lone Star lost a very close game today in extra innings. Brit had a great tournament this weekend. There will be some highlights from the last several games & perhaps some stats after the last game on Tuesday. Brit has had an amazing season including a 0.00 ERA & an OBP over .600! Go Lone Star! GO BRIT!!
