How my Environment Enabled me to be so Creative
So everyone who knows me, knows that I’m absolutely obsessed with Disney animated films. They’ve been the inspiration behind an innumerable amount of my sketches and paintings. I honestly believe that I have a whole section of my brain dedicated to Disney trivia that no one else would ever feel the need to know. I owe my love for Disney to my parents who raised me on the animated features and made it possible for our family to make multiple visits to Disney World. My parents have always been extremely supportive of my artistic and creative side. My mom, being a stay at home mom, would come up with little crafts and projects for my little brothers and me to do when we were little. These projects turned into me making my own crafts to decorate my room as well as testing my skills at drawing and sketching. Then when I had the opportunity to do so in school, I would take art classes and also participated in school theater. I had the benefit of going to a small school where I was able to try almost any extracurricular activity that I wanted to, which in turn helped my creativity grow even more. Now that I’m in college, I’m a Graphic Design major taking multiple art classes, as well as working at Walt Disney World, one of the most creativity filled places on Earth. Every day, the people in my life as well as my work place continue to inspire me to work the creative muscles in my brain by supporting me just as my parents and teachers did while I was growing up.

When a toy-stealing bully ruins recess for a playground full of kids, only one thing stands in his way: the “Lost and Found” box. Meet Lou before Cars 3, in theatres this June!
I know its not the best but I thought it would be fun to make an impossible square using the four elements.

Third piece of digital art. This one was meant purely for fun and to explore with more than just copying an image that was already pieced together. This one included using an image of a friend and combining it with other images to create the final product above. Shading and highlighting is meant to do most of the work to show dimension but it’s mostly meant to resemble a painting rather than a traditional cartoon.
This is my second attempt at drawing digitally and I feel I improved greatly between my first and this piece. Though it is still not perfect I still have a large amount of pride in it. The clothes and background could definitely be better but I am extremely happy with how the hands, face and hair turned out.
First attempt at drawing digitally. Not perfect but I feel I did fairly well for my first time.
Cherry Blossom Painting Planet
This was a painting of Washington DC cherry blossoms that I did and I spherized it then created a tiny planet out of it.
Distorted Jack Sparrow Sketch
This is a pointilism drawing of Captain Jack Sparrow that I did in the spring semester that I have now recolored and given it a “twist”.
