12 Days of Holiday Events!
Hey knights! How are you all doing? I'm sure you all know that I've been planning a guild Christmas event for a month now, and I'm finally excited to tell you guys the details. Remember, members only! All new recruits should have been promoted appropriately, and if you haven't, you were not active enough! A quick mail to Sckaar will fix that (maybe).
As I've mentioned before, this event contains 6 activities, in all of which you can gain points! .. except there are now 4 activities until further notice because gremlins did something bad. The winner is, of course, the knight with the most points. The specifics are listed below, and each event is separated by a weird format. Read on!
Raffle
Of course, what is a Brmc event without a raffle? The answer is, it's not. So here's how it works:
1. Each raffle ticket is 1000 crowns.
2. Mail the crowns to Sckaar with the subject as "Raffle". You will get a confirmation email tell you how many tickets in total you have, sometime, maybe, hopefully.
3. For each ticket you buy, your name is entered into a virtual hat. At the end of the Raffle period, Sckaar puts all the names into a program and runs it. The winning knight receives 50% of the pool, and the other 50% goes into the guild treasury. (The pool is the total amount of crowns everyone has donated, and will be listed on the guild motd.)
4. For every ticket you buy, you get 10 points added to your name. Cheers to that!
The Arts
It's the holiday season! Regardless of what you (do or don't) celebrate, anything remotely festive is welcome for this contest. The goal is simple: do something artsy and submit it to this page's submission box! Don't forget to add your name to it! You can do anything you want, in game or in real life. Here are some ideas to get you started: write a holiday song! Write a story! Do some arts and crafts! Make a video! Take a pretty picture. The only restriction is, it has to be festive! You will lost points otherwise.
1. Do something artsy, and submit it to brmcevents.tumblr.com/submit
2. Don't forget to add your name as a caption!
3. Simply participating in this get you 300 points!
Survival of the Swiftest
What's a Brmc event without challenge? Of course we're going to throw a curveball at you. Voilà, the most challenging activity for this year's Christmas event I have dubbed: Survival of the Swiftest (SoS). The goal? Survive. Bonus prizes to a team that successfully beats the entire floor.
For players:
1. Gather up a team of 1-3 knights and tell an officer+ that you would like to take a shot at SoS. Please provide them with the name of everyone in your team.
2. When the officer+ invites you to the arena, join immediately.
3. Everyone must pay 500 crowns each to the officer+. This fee will go towards the prizes.
4. Equip 1* gear and have full inspect on. Pets and trinkets are not permitted.
5. Full inspect --> Press "P". At the top right click on Character Options and make sure that box is checked.
6. Once you are approved, walk past the barrier and wait for further instructions.
7. Each time you participate in this activity, you will be awarded 10 points.
For officers+:
1. Get your butt down to the last floor of 9-2 The Gauntlet on Elite. Have fun! <3
2. Once you're at the arenas, invite the knights.
3. Charge 500 cr per knight and make sure they are respecting the rules (Full 1* gear, no pets, no trinkets).
4. Give the properly equipped knights the okay and let them know to wait past the barrier.
5. Once all them knights are past the barrier, tell them to wait while you uh, die.
6. Get a stopwatch ready!
7. When you're nice and dead and your stopwatch is ready, tell the knights the timer will start when they step on the first button.
8. Start the time when the button is activated, and stop it when all knights are dead.
9. After you return to the Haven (or wherever really), mail Sckaar the crowns from the run. Include the participants and the time. Format is as follows:
Recipient: Sckaar Subject: SoS
knightName, knightName2, knightName3
time: 00m00s
--Attached: x crowns--
10. You are very much allowed to wait until you log off to do this, and have more thn one entry in a single mail, provided you don't forget. You can't forget!
Treasure Hunt
14 questions will be uploaded here @11:59 am EST on Monday, December 14. It should be announced on the message of the day (motd). These will be riddles hinting to a specific material in the game. You must get all of them before sending me a mail!
1. Solve the riddles and hunt for the appropriate material.
2. Mail all 14 items to Sckaar with the subject: Treasure Hunt
3. The first knight to get all of these right wins a prize!
4. The winner will probably be announced on the motd to stop the flood of mail.
5. For every right material you can receive 10 points.
Alright. That is it for now guys! I hope you enjoy the events, and I have changed my mind: The top 3 knights with the most points will all be eligible to win fantastic prizes, with 2-4 bonus prizes from SoS and Treasure Hunt. NOTE: Prizes will be awarded possible in January. I'm going on vacation and I might not have access to the internet. Do not worry, you'll get your prize within a month. This event is set to run from December 11 12:11 pm to December 22 12:11 pm.
